Thomson Dow

I would rather us keep “ not paddy” then get a Harmes type , even though I haven’t see “ not Thomo” kick a ball in 3 years , I’m still not against getting the bros together , would be as cheap as day old bread and “ could” possibly ignite a couple of ball winning mids …bit of the money balls about it with the situation we are in , cheap Cs and Elite are all that we trade for atm , no point adding handy Bs

I rate fast hands over fast feet. He has good hands. I remember another bloke who wore no 10 - we used to call him a ball butcher too.

Shedda saw a bit of himself in Dow as he put him forward as a draftee if memory serves me right.
Hopefully Shedda's vision for spotting talent is as good as it was on field.

Not too many players who’ve played such a minimal amount of games in 4 seasons (17) suddenly come good in their 5th season. And he’s still behind Taranto, Hopper, Dusty, Graham, Shai, Dion and Ross in the midfield pecking order. I’m tipping we,ll be talking about his delisting in 12 months time.

What a run, timed it perfectly. Fooled them into another year, well played lad.

Now up to him to decide if he is good enough or not.

I would’ve delisted him. He can’t hit the side of a barn and is a turn over merchant. Yuck.

I reckon he'll play lots next year. I watched one game with a view to deciding Yay or Nay and I saw him do some elite bodywork and handballing, displaying elite awareness and vision. You can't teach that. Make or break opportunity next year but I'm bullish about him making the grade.

I certainly hope you are right, with minimal trading and draft picks this year he is definitely one of the players we need to make big gains in 2024.

Same Achilles! Same. Bullish.

Dow at least has AFL traits. His hands and clearance work are AFL quality. Think his biggest issue he has never completed a proper pre season or season to get the conditioning in the legs to run out games. If he is able to get the body right i think he plays a lot of footy next year

Meh, I reckon in 12 months time he won’t be at the club. Same as HRS.

I misread that at first waiting.

I thought you were having a go at Achilles...

"Same Achilles! Same Bullsh*t"

I was shocked that you would post something like that!

Then I actually read it properly.

Been a long day.........
Sorry Streak young boy.

Was agreeing with Achilles!

He's basically fighting for a midfield spot with Taranto. If he's playing a lot of snr footy, we're not winning a lot of games.

So who are all the other elite midfielders we have that will keep him out?
Prestia will be another year older and his body is already shot.
Hopper seems to have a lot of injury concerns so we are not sure how many games he will play.
Graham is a plodder.
Sonsie uknown.
Martin will probably spend more time forward. Ditto Shai
