Thomson Dow

Don't know what Dow's future is but noticed that his handballs from traffic on both sides of his body are very good.

So many of our midfielders play hot potato with the ball in close... and just transfer the pressure until someone throws it onto the boot under heat.

Dow has an inate ability to put his teamates into a space where they have time to actually use the ball... same ability that Shedda had... and going back further Paul Broderick.

Is it enough to persist? In an offseason that doesn't see us flush with decent draft picks I think it will be.

Hopefully he can develop as a high half forward. He needs the flexibility to be able to fit into an already slow Midfield.

Reckon he's shown enough in patches to have significant upside. Fitness is the key as it is for all mids.

Seriously? Taranto has a lot more strings to his bow than Dow. In the mix for AA this year and has been a very good player ever since he entered the league. Yes he needs to improve his kicking but the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Dow is a plodder who likely does not have a whole lot upside from what we see now.
I dunno what you were watching , one trick TT doesnt have is foot speed , Dow does and is also a much better handballer , you need contrasting types and it was clear as the nose on your face that he added to our mix that with pres TT and hop is too flat footed

His handball is adequate but his kicking is putrid and he has very poor defensive intent. Not Richmond-like. I’m selling my Dow shares. His brother is very similar too.

The coach praised him in his interview and named him as one of our best.

Finds it in traffic & has good agility in there , needs decent wingers sprinting past him for him to off load into better positions

If you found yourself at Drofderburi Thai for dinner which would you prefer - Pad Dow or Thom Dow?

The brothers have many limitations. Each looks a late bloomer. Thom Dow maybe a bit less so.
