Thomson Dow

He's been the one given a go in the last two games. What's that say for our youngster depth? Big worry.
It's probably more a case of someone like Brown was recruited to play Vlaustin's role, and Vlaustin is in the side.

Might be but if so bit unfair to call his career on 3 games at the end of the season with the Tigers playing very poor footy. Personally I don't think he's good enough, plays outside mid and just isn't creative or skilled enough for that role at AFL level. He won't have any trade value, he's uncontracted and has played 16 games in 4 years (5 in and out as sub) .

Going to be interesting decisions made with many uncontracted players atm and a new incoming coach.
At the end of his fourth season where he's still been unable to establish himself as a regular player. What's so unfair about giving him one last series of games before deciding what position to take on his career?
His contract is expiring and he's fringe, this happens to dozens of AFL listed players every year, so one last look to be absolutely certain. Stay - Sack - Trade there's only three options available.

Brown will be ready to go with another pre season under his belt.
He is probably ready to go now

Agree and thats exactly why I'd be looking to trade Vlastuin. If we don't and Brown doesn't get games, he will be asking for a trade before we even know how good he can be.

We won’t get much for Vlastuin, but it would be more than some of the others that are being floated. I have no faith in Brown, though.

If he's been unable to establish himself, then surely Tigers have made up their mind. If the Tigers are making up their minds last 3 games playing him as the 4th midfielder just in case then that's a bit of a blight on the decision-making imo.

He won't be traded. Sack or stay.

Unfortunately today a few times he was walking while the North mids were running hard forward. I reckon it must be a lack of a decent tank because he must be trying with his career on the line.
Started like a house on fire then disappeared. Still I saw enough to give him another week in the snrs.
Yep liked his 1st half.
after that saw some moments where he looked a little shaky.
shouldve gone on with having a solid game.

Dow is seven months younger than Cumberland. Five months younger than Coulthard. Can find the pill. Good hands. Can't kick. The brother has had 30 clearances in the past month. Late bloomers?

I have read the knocks on his kicking.
Been on show today at least twice- had hands on both times and munged it to the opposition.
Then a horrible chase.
Is he contracted for one more year?

I’m pretty sure he isn’t. Dow shall not play in ‘24!

16 disposals...30m gained.

My kids have the TV, so I'll be watching on the replay. Is he handballing backwards or to someone 1m away.

If your kick goes straigjt to the opposition do you get metres gained?
His hands have been ok when he has chosen to hamdball

He's had 5 kicks, turned over 2 of them. Not sure if they give you credit for the distance and the turnover.

Give him a break how many games he played lol hes elite inside with his hands and side step. 2 more pre seasons and he'll have the fitness to run out games a must persist with.
