The RIP thread

Not famous names but my heart breaks for the toddler and the baby both run over in tragic accidents. Sweet dreams little sweethearts.

Are these to do with those over-sized morbidly obese pork tanks still driving on the roads?

More like very unfortunate lapses of concentration. So sad.

Just read that Michael Chamberlain has passed away at 72. This Azaria case has been done to death over the decades but still remains a mystery to me.

Sarstedt said that he never wrote it with anyone specific in mind, but a lot of people believe it's about Sophia Loren.

RIP Peter Sarstedt. Loved everything he wrote.

I saw him live in concert twice. The second time was a quite intimate performance at Dallas Brooks Hall. He even did a Q&A at the end of his performance. Where do you go to, my lovely, in his own words, was fictional and not about anyone in particular. He was born in India but living in Europe at the time and he was more interested in the name dropping and European cultural references than anything else. The bit about the girl was just a device.

He also wrote a sequel many years later, the Last of the Breed. Just for you, Antie.

The creators (Mel Brooks and Buck Henry) are still going.

Hymie was quite a memorable role considering he only appeared in 6/138 episodes.

Blood oath. Hymie was a brilliant character in a brilliant show. Built so he would be able to kill ruthlessly without conscience, turns out to be the biggest softie sook ever. And his literal interpretation of everything. He got me every time.

Also so many memorable characters who only had one appearance, the groovy guru, simon the Likeable, the Craw, and Max's Uncle and Auntie.

ah, the Groovy Guru, aka Larry Storch, aka Corporal Agarn from F Troop. One of my favourites, and still kicking.
Also, I believe Le Hoodoo Gurus got their name from this character

RIP Hymie
