RIP Mario Milano. As a kid, I enjoyed watching the wrestling on TV hosted by EJ Whitten and even live at Festival Hall. He and Spirios were the big favourites. As fake as it was, it was all funny stuff.....the good v bad.....ahhh memories.

On the other side of life, it looks like the great Kirk Douglas finally made it to 100.

Yes sad to see Mario Milano go to the big ring in the sky. I never really forgave him for turning bad and hooking up with 'Playboy Gary Hart'.

BTW Jack Little was the original host with Paul Jennings as his sidekick, he always got Mario to say a few words in his native tongue after a bout 'for all our Italian fans out there'. Was fabulous entertainment for kids like me in the 60's and 70's.

Check out the wiki link to all the great wrestlers that appeared on the show over the years:

Everybody loved Andre the Giant who died some time ago. I was scared of Brute Bernard and I 'hated' Larry O'Dea when he moved to the 'badsiders'.... ;D

Jack Little was before my time, but I remember watching this with EJ as host on early Sunday mornings on Channel 9. My Dad and I went to Bendigo Street one day to watch the show live.

George Michael - WHAM!

Well that was his Last Christmas. What a real screwed up year this was for celebrity deaths. I'm glad I'm a nobody.

Grew up in that era.

Had a poster of George as I loved his hair and grew it like him, a dark shade.

Wham one if favourite groups I have to say and when George went solo brought some great songs.

RIP

Starting to get faster by the year now. Sad to see these musicians all go but then again they are human beings. One thing we never really thought of as kids/teenagers. Looks like anxiety/depression finally hit him.

I liked Wham's songs, but his early 90's soul/religious songs were better.

Children of the 80s have got a nice wake up kick in the balls in 2016 and also in recent years losing so many identies from the youth, as well as plenty of other serious names in the entertainment world.

Not only did George Michael pump out some great tunes - he also had a great sense of humour - check him out in "Extras" http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x9zlc4_george-michael-ricky-gervais-extra_fun

I wonder if these early deaths are a sign that our liberal drug culture is making us pay later in life.

To be a mega star in the eighties has almost been a curse.

RIP

Michael Hutchence
Michael Jackson
Whitney Houston
David Bowie
Prince

Best I could do with my hair was to look like Paul Young.....which later, looked more like Tim Finn.
