RIP Andrew Sachs.

Saw the "Mrs Richards" episode again recently and I'm not sure I've ever seen a funnier half hour on TV ever.
Just love this scene ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv8OwT3-AQs
"Small!!!" :rofl

RIP.

RIP Andrew Sachs.

Just heard. I didn't know he reached mid-80s. Funny bloke especially in Fawlty Towers. That line "he's from Barcelona" must've rattled the Spaniards a bit.

RIP.

After just 9 episodes in 2 split years, it remains the best comedy ever made.

I believe it was changed to "he's from Mexico" when dubbed into Spanish for the Spanish market :hihi

Dunno about that but it's a classic.

Was actually 12 episodes over 2 years, but I agree with the 2nd part. It's very weird to hear Sachs use his actual voice. He was born in Germany, but raised in the UK, so he had this very British voice.

I think I read somewhere that for Catalonia he was Mexican and for the rest of Spain he was Italian.

IMO, for a show made 40+ years ago of only 12 episodes in 2 split seasons that still leaves me literally ROFLOL-ing... :)hihi), it still is the best ever.

I suppose a lot of polls show different ones in different positions, especially the biased American polls which are nearly always 98% Yank shows (just like music.....no other country in the world exists....)

Please don't tell me Seinfield or Cheers was literally 'funnier' than Fawlty Towers....surely not!

Never got it. Everyone I know loved it, except me.

Wow. I don't see what's not to get. One of the few laugh out loud shows I've seen. Loved it...as long as the war isn't mentioned. :hihi
