Steve Morris F/S

Well deserved even only half-way through his first season.

Big pats on the back to Morris and our recruiting staff.

Never thought i'd ever say this...
but, i think he overattacks the ball!
As a consequence gets opened up by over running the ball.

Why ? That has always been a huge fault , it was. @ SANFL level & even more so in the big league

Still love him though !

It is what it is. He stops movements that no-one else can stop, but will over-run contests that other players won't.

Hopefully he can learn to control it...
Judge when its best to go at 100 miles an hour to effect a contest that he other wise wouldn't reach, and when he is more likely to have a positive effect on the contest by being more composed.

Memo to Morris

I love the way your attack the ball and you have plenty of courage. to become a better player, stop your weaving between players. Receive the handball, and kick it to your team mates. Too often, when you take on the opposition, the pressure makes you turnover the ball. other than that, I wrapped the extended your contact. Go Steven.

Memo to Morris - keep it up. I'm a fan of your work, keep backing yourself, don't let anyone lead you to second-guess yourself.

No doubt. His attack on the footy is superb.

And the maturity to know when to kick it! So many times today after younger blokes hand balling it around he took it and kicked it to advantage. At worst a 50/50 contest on the wing rather than still inside defensive 50.

Becoming a real onfield leader
