Steve Morris F/S

Re: Steve Morris F/S " Suicide Blond "

Heard a guy on SEN with Harf and Mr Tackle call young Steve " Suicide Blond " ... Robbo and Harf loved it and Robbo is going to run with that name for young Stevie from here on...

Looks like we might have a new nik for our new " Suicide Blond " suits him to a T.

Appologies to TIGS2010 for modifing the heading.

Milne is a fine player and can turn it on. He put the acid on our lad many times, found space and tried to turn the game around. In the end it was the perceived pressure that undid Milne. He could never be sure our Suicide Blond wasn't on his hammer.

Morris had a bangin game IMO. What a fine acquisition.

Still waiting to see those kicking yips that we were all told about before the season.

They were there in the preseason, I swear, but he mastered them.

Man he's been a good addition to the side.

Milne is arguably the best small forward of the last 10 years. He did lose him a couple of times but Morris never put his head down. The rat should have had at least 2 but he does have habit of missing crunch goals (always knew he would miss that set shot in the last). Reckon you are right about the perceived pressure.

Blood oath, and not only that Morris hurt the slug the other way on the rebound. Gave him 2 votes for his effort on the weekend, it was tremendous, especially considering we've been looking for someone who can take at that damaging small player without success for a long, long time.

I agree with you on Milne, BCL. Star. Our boy did well in his tenth game.

What a blessing he's been, G-O. I hope he keeps improving. He's a fan fave.

I hate Milne passionately but you don't kick 500 goals as a small forward if you can't play.

Milne's last shot in the final quarter when he kicked it with his left out on the full was all about perceived pressure. He had much more time than he thought.

suicide blonde is the perfect name for Morris

Given the way he handled leaping Leroy Jetta and his talk a few weeks ago, I reckon Morris will have no trouble.
Leroy Jetta.....now there is one bloke who should be embarrassed. He makes actors on Days Of Our Lives look like Acadamy Award winners.

Yep, a ripper.
Just as an aside, I reckon with Dea in the side we would have seen a lot less of Saad too.
Things are definitely turning around after so long.

Agreed Jack. It should be our mantra to add one ready made state league footballer every year.

I am gob smacked at how well this boy is travelling.

A lot has been made of Rance and Grimey's improvement, but it is the addition of Morris that has transformed us from one of the easiest backlines to score against to one of the hardest. He almost is worth 2 backmen he is that desperate. In any other year Milne would've kicked 7 on Friday night and Millera another 3.

Thought his game today was very good and his attack on the footy was great as usual.
Pity some of the other players dont learn how to play desperate footy

His attack on the footy and the contest is scary. Works his guts out. He's one of those footballers who is prepared to die to win the game. Hope the shoulder injury they were talking about on the radio isn't anything serious.

I thought our man was well down today. (If he were a horse I would say he can't handle the wet.) He is pivotal to our backline even in his first year. Will bounce back.
