Yarran's only had 25 touches once this year. Has had more than 20 only 3 times. I would have had no problems if he had his game average of 16 abd minding McDonough instead who we know can at least manufacture something and be creative and get disposals. Part of defensive forward pressure is the quality of your forwards and how closely the opposition needs to check them. As we've seen many times this year the opposition has zero respect for Morris and happy to let him wander around like a lost puppy.

Agree with all of that.

Played a terrific game according to Dimma on SEN this morning .

Yeah but it's already well established Hardwick is a moron and plays players who he likes in his team, not on actual form or who's deserving. No wonder people have posted a few times that there's rumours on unrest from a few at VFL who think some above don't deserve their spots. Morris and Newman are so far off AFL level but keep getting picked.

It's well established who is the moron here. (And it's obviously not you TS)

I don't think any other coach in the league would persist with Newman and Morris IMO. We're good to carry them and still win 13 odd games but will never be top 4 with these types holding the team back.

Think he said that last time too before he dropped him. Don't mind Dimma backing his players publicly. What matters is behind the scenes..

Backing your players publicly and embellishing the truth to make it out like he played a blinder are two different things. Just makes you look foolish in the public eye. I have a lot of respect for Hardwick, think he has done a great job overall but these types of comments lack integrity and respect for your supporters.

Thanks. Saved me the trouble. Hardwick has improved a lot in the past 3 years, but even before that, I didn't see him as a moron.

Yep it's held us back terribly over the last two months.

On the TV it seemed he was mainly on Yarran in the 2nd half, for those who went and could see the whole picture are you able to say whether he played the whole fame on Yarran.

Still bewildered how a guy who got handballs and 3 tackles makes the best list.

We had 52 inside 50s & they had 39 rebound 50s so the Morris ""the Liability" experiment of Never kicking goals and locking the ball in our forward line is clearly working? Not
Morris playing forward is an absolute failure together with Newman & Gordon is there any wonder we have trouble scoring?

Certainly didnt seem to be tight on Yarran in the first half if he was. Noticed him with Yarran a lot more in the 2nd half.

Thought the same. Seemed to be the headless chook in the 1st half who didn't get to a contest. I definately noticed him on Yarran in the 2nd also, partiularly in the final quarter but then I was in the PRE so was difficult to see who he was on when down towards the City end.

Inspired coaching by Dimma, Morris wreaked havoc for one of the sides playing in the first half then swung onto Yarran who crapped his dacks and promptly did nowt.

And this is why supporters are still wary of Dimma, plays his favs in newy and morris, both have been terrible showed no VFL form to warrant being picked in the seniors and hardly no AFL form when in the seniors but still get picked ahead of players who have performed at the lower level, ie: McDonough and Lennon, this is getting farcical surely both must come in....

Maybe the players performing well at VFL level need to run as fast as they can the wrong way swinging their arms around. Then maybe they have a shot at replacing go go gadget helicopter arms.

Yarran had no influence whilst Morris on him so give him some credit.

Unfortunately doubt we can beat the better teams if we continue to rely on a forward line with Newman/Morris as the small forwards.

Was sent back to the VFL to work on his "attacking game" and it hasn't changed a thing.

Our forward line cannot contain Newman & Morris. We are playing two short. Good teams will zone off and choke us.

Carlton were aware how highly our coaching staff rate Morris, and Yarran was instructed to take him away from the play. Not Morris fault he didn't pick up his usual 2-3 kicks, he was just doing his job.
