Steve was on Marngrook last night and even he said "as a forward you gotta kick goals and I haven't kicked very many"

I thought it was because he was down on star jumps.

Admire his effort, his commitment and his determination, but if RFC is to start really achieving top-tier status in the competition then the likes of Morris should be depth/back-up players at best, and I mean no disrespect in saying that ... it's more about recognising the reality of what he can bring to the table, which when looking at the successful teams, the likes of Morris are not in the equation.

Agree. The good thing about Morris, as was with White, Tivendale and McGun, is when they are dropped they still continue to put in 110% effort and not drop their heads. They deserve plenty of respect for conducting themselves as they do/did in the seconds.

Shift him back to the backline in the VFL where he played his best footy for us so he can build up some form.

Exactly.

Experiment failed so send him back to gain form and confidence before the finals?

If we do make finals, don't want him anywhere near the senior side.

Morris is a player that has to be 100% fit to be effective at AFL level because his main attribute is backing his judgement and running flat out to a contest he thinks he can impact.

When he is not 100% fit he cannot make the mental adjustment to compensate for any injury he is carrying and either gets to the contest too late or not at all, as we have continually seen throughout his career at Richmond.

The best AFL players are the ones that learn to still be effective when injured - which is a hallmark of those at the top level as very few have the luck to play without injury for any extended period - and those that cannot do this struggle, like Morris.

He's contracted for another 2 years and in the leadership group. He'll be back.

Will be it be forward or back?

Batchelor would want to have a good month.

Batchelor plays as a tall, Morris cant replace him.
Hunt would be the one.

Morris would make a good captain of the vfl team. He knows the structures of the afl side , so can teach those to the younger guys, as well and being an on field leader.

And the bonus is there is less pressure on him making mistakes, and less pressure on the afl side trying to make up for those mistakes.

Well played Dimma, the old promote Thomas then pick Morris trick.

Great to see The Liability Morris is back :pullhair :pullhair
Surely we didn't believe he'd be out for long
Just make sure you watch the replay of the game on SuperXtra slow mo so you don't miss the pressure acts :p ::) :p

Yeah, nah. Absolutely no need. Will go to Yarran or Simpson but really not needed. Stopping these two won't change the game. We will win regardless. ( Gulp)
