Steve Morris F/S

Maybe he can put the clamp on Yarran but that's a maybe. A certainty is that he costs us going the other way. I just don't get it. The risks far outweigh the rewards with Morris.

Yarran had the chance to be the match winner in rd 1, he got free multiple times in dangerous positions in the half forward line. We got lucky a few times when Carlton flubbed golden opportunities.

And yes Morris was on Yarren most of the time when he was getting free.

In Morris' defence his best game of the season was probably against Freo, then he reverted back to form against West Coast, but he was far from alone in not bringing it for that game. If he can produce anything like against Freo then the game will be won and won well by the Tigers.

I can see why Steve Morris is playing this game; Yarran and perhaps the ground condition but why Chris Newman?

Perfect game for MaDonna to shine.

2 handball & 2 free kicks against in 3 qtrs of football dozens of unseen pressure acts Brownlow votes coming

I have been a supporter of Morris over the years, but I've had enough. He just doesn't go for the ball, instead he flies in for these big 'hits/ bumps' that don't do anything other than give the opposition the chance to keep the ball in play and moving forward.

For me, He, Hunt and Gordon would be beneficial in the VFL squad. Hunt can come back when he gets to making quicker, and better, decisions. The other two...

Morris 4 qtrs of footy NO kicks 3 handballs 3 frees against compared to sub Lambert played 1 qtr 9 kicks 2 HB 5 marks
How the *smile* Morris gets picked ??

Playing in the backline is waaaaaayy easier than playing in the forward half.
All he had to do was follow his opponent, punch and run forwards and the other guy would get to him as a link.
Now he has to mark (not punch) and win it on his own (not be a link) .... and the results speak for themselves.
