Don't think he will.

Short was far more dynamic than him today as was Lloyd. I think Steve was exposed today for what he is.

Thought he might have been dropped from the AFL side because of injury but there were no apparent difficulties with the shoulder today.
He had little impact on the game at all.

Really hope Hardwick didn't drop him for just a week as a token, then bring him straight back in.
I think he may have. If Gordon doesn't get suspended he may keep his spot, but Hardwick could also drop say McIntosh and give Steve his spot.

Steve Morris
13 disposals

Played forward and midfield. Came back with a great attitude and his commitment in the contest was terrific. We expect Stevie to have a bit more of an impact at VFL level. But for his first game at VFL his attitude was good, and that was what was important.

Amazing someone can win so much praise for 13 disposals in an offensive role in the VFL. Contrast it to McDonough's recent comments and it's pretty hilarious.

he won praise for his attitude not his output.

Whenever I take a step back and think about what I want in a depth player and as a team, it's a great attitude and a great culture.

Obviously it's a balance and the less skilled, the better the attitude needs to be to compensate... but in general I think it's great our VFL coaches are rewarding attitudes and behaviours rather than rewarding kicks and goals. One leads to a team-first culture, the other leads to a selfish culture in which you hog the ball and boost your own numbers to get a game.

That's not to say Morris should be selected above McDonough, just that I can understand the thinking behind the VFL coaches reinforcing someone for their attitude rather than reinforcing someone for their numbers. The challenge is balancing it, because I agree he sounded pretty harsh on Matty's 30 + 3 game last week.

Sounds like he's going to spend more time in the VFL to me.

I don't mind Stevie but who would you drop? Lambert did OK.
I don't think there should be any changes at all, but McIntosh seems like the one to make way for Morris if they want him back in.

Madness.

I thought McIntosh did well when he came on last week.

On his VFL effort, coupled with the great seniors win against Sydney, no way known he'll come back in next week.

Never say never Steve is a certainty to play 8-

Steve was on Marngrook last night and even he said "as a forward you gotta kick goals and I haven't kicked very many"

That would be the understatement of the year.
