I don't mind that comparison. Nice work TM.

I cant see the Hawks, Dockers, Swans and a few others being able to play a Dellavedova in their line up. If we want to be top 4 we need 22 players on the field who offer a bit more than being aggresive. Chaplin, Morris and Newman are the ones we need upgrading on.

Swans have tippett.

He is about as affective as Dellamorris, but on 13 x the salary.

Perhaps, but the Cavs have somehow made it through the play offs or whatever it is they do n into the big dance with a Delly in the side.
Not saying it's perfect, might not even be right, but the coach wants to run his team with DellyMorris in the side n so far it appears to be working reasonably. We're ahead of the win loss n on a three game roll playing a man short according to some.
The punters that pay their shekels to walk in the gate simply want their team to win on the day. Coaches, list managers, n club executives while also wanting to win on the day will get measured overall from a much longer perspective. They've got to build the club n team for today, tomorrow n the year after next as well if they're genuine about the club n not just their next pay cheque.
Dimma is quite possibly is working on building a certain ethic n culture among the entire playing list that goes beyond simply match day n Morris is an important part of that.

I believe that bringing it on match day is also a huge part of it TM.

I also believe that Lloyd, Gordon, Lennon, McDonuts and Arnot have not shown enough of the right attitude when the get the call up especially when things arnt going our way. Add to that they havn't compensated for it in other ways either.

MmorrissFFS may not be the answer but he is closer than the others at the moment.

We will all be way happier when one of them can do it add a couple o snags or at least set some up on a regular basis.

In time you want to be able to pick a side on form not just you have available. Hopefully for us supporters this is sooner rather than later. Does the availability of Newman after the bye or perhaps earlier further muddy the selection waters .

I've worked it out :idea. Morris is our version of a Dellavedova.
Heard an interview , might have been K.B. or Harf last week with one of Aust basketball heroes regarding Delly. When Delly was working out with the Cavs, pre season I think, they split all their players into different rotating mixtures to trial them n Delly kept bobbing up in the winning teams. Didn't matter what combinations of players they used against which others, Delly would be in the winningest group over n over again, so they drafted or contracted him.
Nowhere near the most talented or biggest or smartest player, but a desperate beast for the contest. Helps his team mates to walk a bit taller n try a bit harder deep in the heat of the contest, Delly just hates to lose any contest or point n it rubs off on the rest of his team.
We've got a Delly Morris.

Delly has some skill to go with the manic effort and can shoot the 3 ball at an elite clip which makes him valuable to his team. Morris does not have any skill besides the manic effort.

DellyMorris took a mark n kicked a goal the other day, he's working on the skills thingy to go along with the manic kamikaze. Can't expect him to do everything together all at once, otherwise he'd be a champion instead of a dud delist.

Morris is that player that opposition coaches like getting the ball.
They know he'll turn it over. Don't put a player on him, let him play loose.
Unfortently Morris is so crap he still can't get the ball often enough, despite no opposition.

So you're saying Morris is like that AA Fullback we had, Darren Gaspar ?

This guys dramatic drop in form and confidence comes to injury and poor coaching. We know he has ability but like some others clearly follows instruction so closely that it prevents him from playing his natural game and attacking the footy. Looks to be constantly in 2 minds on the field. Just let the kid play and encourage him to get the ball Supers!

After 6 years we are still working on culture?

Good to see that Steve "the liability" Morris is once again able to use the immunity pin
Looking forward to his unnoticeable pressure acts :p

You can say he can't play, but if you can't see his pressure you need goggles

Geez Freo look good up forward with Ballantyne and Walters.

We need a gun forward like that. Wish the Elliot rumours came to fruition...

I need me some goggles. I see him arriving late, I see him almost applying pressure, but I don't see him actually applying it. Where are the chase downs? Where are the smothers? Where are the intercepts? He tries his guts out, does Morris. God knows I love him for it. Brings a tear to the eye, his evident love for the jumper, his desire to help the team win. But jeez he's ineffective.
