Re: poll: Shaun Hampson

Find it hard to believe that the Saints will offload McEvoy - they don't have any decent back-up as a ruck.

He's more important to them than Montagna, Riewoldt, Dal Santo and Hayes.

Re: poll: Shaun Hampson

No, because
1. Can't kick
2. Dodgy knees
3. We have better rucks now - Ivan, Ty and Orren

Could be a Tiger by this time next week.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: poll: Shaun Hampson

If Bailey's knees get the thumbs down from the surgeons, Hawks will get Hampson via a trade with Savage. That's fine by me.

And I'd be doing a little due diligence by having a look at Bailey's medical report and getting our own opinion.

Re: poll: Shaun Hampson

It would be good if Hawthorn get Hampson. It will mean we are a front runner for Longer.

We'd have to trade our first pick though.

Not sure I'd be up for that.

Re: poll: Shaun Hampson

Happy for first pick to be on the table for a McEvoy if gettable. Doubt the Saints would deal on McEvoy though. He is a class big man. Don't know if we could play Ivan and the big man in the same 22.

Re: poll: Shaun Hampson

Can't see how Hampson would be a beneficial pick/trade for the Tigers. If it came to it, I would rather pick Jolly over Hampson, but I don't want the Tigers to select Jolly either.

Can't see Hampson in our Best 22 if Maric & Vickery are both fit he might be a better ruckman than Vickery but not forward & is not as good as Maric in the ruck when fit but maybe if he was given the number 1 spot he might be but can't see it.

Re: poll: Shaun Hampson

IMO stick with the Big O over Hampson anyday.
Dont want Hampson who is about 4th in line for ruck selection at the Scum

Agreed, and don't want to sell the farm by giving up a first round pick for any ruckman. See who is available via PSD, rookie a couple, try to upgrade our first rounder to get the CHF that we desperately need, or failing that add to the midfield.

Vickery has averaged just over one goal per game played, Hampson is about half that.

Those stats indicate that both are crap forwards.

Hampson averages twice the hitouts than Vickery, at least he has some credentials to be an effective ruckman in comparison to Vickery.

Re: poll: Shaun Hampson

Done deal for a 2nd round pick according to channel 7. That's more than we paid for ivvy.

Missed 5 games and kicked 25 goals this year, what do you reckon is a good return for a ruck/forward?

Blair has a good record but I'm really sceptical about this one.

Shaun Hampson Done Deal

Done deal according to Channel 7. Second round draft pick. Blair has a good track record but I am very sceptical abut this one.
