Pick 63, 2017 Ben Miller - Welcome to Tigerland.

I actually thought his effort and intent were there today more than usual- he appeared to attack the ball, and man with more speed.
But ultimately he just didn't do much.
Really not much different to Reiwoldt, neither did a lot. I think main aim was to limit Lever and May's effectiveness and it seemed to work for much of the game. Just don't think that Miller is our forward solution.

Would prefer to see him played back, where he was solid.

A novel idea might be to select forwards to play forward.

He is being used to fill holes instead of settling into one position. Reckon he was taken off today was more tactical than anything else. A bit like Young last week but sadly it didn't work this time

Agree to a degree. But does Miller compete sufficiently to be a true defender?

He did in round 1 when moved onto McKay but hasn’t been down there since.

Can never be played as a forward/part time ruck again - that much I know.

For some reason he is a spectator most of the time and if he gets the ball is really slow to make a decision.
He is not a forward at all..full stop.
He is not a ruck..full stop.
Maybe a third tall at a pinch.
I think we persevere too long with fringe players. .the evidence is that if they are not producing by 5 years then they are a bust.

Either play him down back or delist.
Was poor to play him today ahead of Samson. Reeks of Dimmas conservativism.
Look at The Dees decision to play Petty. Miller was a safe but poor selection.
He simply does not impact the game and clearly never will.

Spot on!

Gawn was good but wasn't dominating in 1st half and a bit, but Soldo had spent all his tickets by just after half time. Had to use Miller better and just bash him into Gawn to give Soldo a break. That wasn't what Mini did. He benched Miller when Soldo was already struggling. Terrible decision. Terrible.

Doesn't seem to have the smarts to play forward, try him in defence.

DS
I’m not convinced he’s competitive enough for any position DS. Has no belief he belongs at this level I suspect.

Agree to try him down back (as they should have today), but if it doesn’t work there, he’s done. Never again as a forward/ruck.
