Pick 63, 2017 Ben Miller - Welcome to Tigerland.

Simply need to keep getting more games into Funky. He's got enough tools to be a decent contributor at senior level, just needs to get more n more practice at using them all full time. Only got 20 odd games under the belt, another half dozen or more this year plus another pre season and he should be ready to put the tradie work belt on full time.

Thought he started to muscle his way into contests and marks tonight. Maybe starting to believe in himself. Hopefully continues and starts to be more aggressive - within the rules of course.
He's starting to bump shove opponents to grab the mark which is good to see.

Bump.

Felt sorry for poor MRJr and the absolute drubbing he is copping in his own thread so I thought I’d remind everyone that Ben Miller still exists.

Millar is your mr plug a hole player, a relief ruck and I thought he did OK yesterday at the centre bounces. I would to see him kick the odd goal like Soldo did - do that and we have a serviceable player.

Cant mark over head, cant mark on a lead and has no influence in the ruck.

Why are we still playing him?

The two are chalk and cheese. One has the necessary skills but is taking his time getting used to how to use them. The other does not.

I agree. But why not give Biggie a run or give Samson another crack? Samson is far superior in the ruck than Miller.
Possibly will. Ryan needed a rest, hopefully 1 week will do it. Biggie is a shot at getting a game if our finals chances are gone I reckon.

we are still alive for the finals. Short to come back, then horses for courses with regards to Ryan/Miller,/Bauer, Mansell/MJ. Wrapped with Soldo's performance. He looks strong and hungry. Throw in Cumberland in the mixture.

In the lead-up to Worst Coast's first goal, the great champion Trent Cotchin cleanly shoelaced the pill for the 28,000th time in his career and fed it to the champion Dion Prestia. Looking to exit D50, Prestia scanned for a viable target. We don't have a forward line, so he couldn't see one, and thus he weighted a kick nicely out in front of Ben Miller, who was in front of Liam Duggan. Ben Miller is 198cm and 100 kegs. Duggan is 5 foot 2. Duggan worked Miller under the ball and marked it on his chest. Miller's arms did not break the horizontal plane.

Chief Broom had bigger thoughts of himself - before he met Jack Nicholson.

Duggan sent it back in and Balta decided Dudley Williams needed illegal help to not mark the footy (he doesn't). It wasn't a great 30 seconds.

Miller had three of his four disposals for the match in the two minutes following the Dudley Williams goal. Immaculate handling and use, as usual except when taking a set shot. Even showed he could put both arms up and mark the ball when Balta and Young pushed the pack out of the way for him. (Dudley pretending to be front and square got dragged and was on the phone no doubt being yelled at for impersonating Ben Miller.) It's halfway through the first quarter. Miller has one more disposal for the game.

C'mon, Ben.
