My thinking is that we'll pull the plug early if 13 and 14 aren't on the table right real soon. And we'll probably cop something around that. Meanwhile Richmond fans will get ten top-five picks and Freo fans...

It doesn't matter if Ashcroft, Kako & Lombard get selected at pick 1 or 101 - they are out of the pool of players available to us anyway. The only pick that hurts will be the compo that the Saints get for Battle - so fingers crossed he somehow stays with the Saints, but that's unlikely now.
So if we get say pick 9 from Freo, we get to select the 9th best available player. Assume Ashcroft goes pick 2 & Lombard 6, our pick 9 becomes 11 but we still get access to the 9th best player available as we were never getting these 2 bloke anyway.

Yes, the draft is basically with Ashcroft, Lombard and Kako removed.

They are just a nominal number as they are basically discounted to the nominated clubs and pretty much unavailable to other teams. Just a question of where they are bid at.

Likely Battle compensation pick should probably be included and means picks after St Kilda drop back 1 position.

This. If we’re going to lose an asset like Shai then we have to receive maximum value. Same with Rioli. They are both contracted. So either pay up or *smile* off!
