Olympics 2012 - London

My cousin qualified for the Semis last night only 3/4 of a length behind the Greek favourites in the lightweight womens rowing pairs. Looking pretty promising.

Good luck to her evo. It's always exciting to have a personal knowledge of a contestant.

She's done really well considering that has had a couple of kids and overcome quite a lot of sickness and injuries; she nearly died.

Pity Magnussen didn't save his hot air for the pool. Poor swim. Big disappointment for the hot favourite 4 x 100 mens relay team to not even get a medal.

The result wasn't as disappointing as his dummy spit after it.

The Archery has been good!

Magnusson just cruising along came back and bit him in the arse - Bighead.Let his mate's down BIG TIME.

Been enjoying the weightlifting, rowing and boxing as well.

Oh,another good thing. The Olympic's being on for 2 weeks takes my focus off Richmond! ;D

I missed that thankfully.
Unfortunately they've showed it about 20 times since . Is it possible that Ch 9 can show something other than bloody swimming? There's dozens of other competitions going on each day - many of them with Australians competing. But all we seem to get is endless interviews with swimmers.

must put the telly on then. I've been away and my only Olympic knowledge has come from ABC radio.

I love the swimming but couldn't agree more. I don't need to see the heat swims - they're not going their fastest anyway. And at the end of the swimming that I had watched live this morning, they immediately replayed most of it. Why not show something else that was on while we were watching the swimming live? And bloody Ray Warren is driving me bananas.

Coverage is great on Fox.8 Channels! :clap
Totally agree. I switched over to 9 the other night, just to see. They had the cycling on and Phil Liggett was commentating, all good. GEM were showing the same thing! You've got 2 channels, a heap of events going on, yet you show the same thing on both of them? Thank God for Fox and it's 8 channels, all showing something different.

Completely agree, this is my 1st olympics having foxtel and it's going to be great not having to watch what C9 dish up which will be mostly swimming, gymnastics and athletics, it would drive me insane when other sports were on but they would show 2 hours of gymnastics with only updates of what is going on elsewhere. Not bad if you like those sports but for people who like a variety of sports it's very frustrating so all i can say is " Thank god for Foxtel "

Channel 9s coverage is a joke are there other events going on apart from Cycling and swimming FFS.

Agreed stop showing heasts we dont care we want to see medals decided be it diving, gymnastics, archery, swimming, weightlifting, boxing, judo, shooting, bugger the meaningless stuff.
