With that range of people from different clubs in our footy dept, do you really think any under performing "boys club" could survive and pull the wool over everyone's eyes ?
If it's obvious to us that we've been very light for a long time, don't you think it's also obvious to our footy dept ? Wouldn't it have been one of the first questions all the new coaches asked ?
To believe that Hornsby leads a "boys club" and is able to fool everyone else is to believe the RFC is staffed by incompetent people through the organisation.
You've mentioned the CEO, senior coaching staff and The Football Manager. None of the off-field staff that my post was about. Is that done deliberately to misdirect?
2009 - Benny appointed by the board as CEO, Beavis/Lade/Leppa/Daly/Hartley appointed as a coaching package. Newett and Clarke as Development coaches.
2005 - Jackson appointed by Miller in recruiting
2007 - Cameron appointed by Miller as List Manager, promoted to GM of Football in 2008
2008 - appointed by Cameron were Wayne Campbell, Terry Condon, Ross Monaghan, Brendan Fahrner and (I think) Kim Stephens.
As quoted from my previous post which sourced Tigerbob, Hornsby has been there since around 2000.
Despite what a new coach may ask, his resources are decided by the GM of Football.
If we have been light for a long time why has the only change since 2008 been the addition of a weights coach?
Why does the "boys club" have to be LED by Hornsby? If any person is in a "boys club" it is for mutual protection for under-performance and extends through many layers of an organisation.
Under-performance in areas like list management, recruiting, strength and conditioning, psychological development, rehabilitation which are intermingled.
The old question of what's to blame for failure while people in these areas are able to point the finger at each other to cloud their responsibilities.
