Wow!
Jade Rawlings, the cancer within the Dees footy dept they didn't even know they had. He's only just signed on and might not even have finished packing his suitcase to come home from Brisvegas, yet he's already secretly destroying the Dees.

That is an impressive effort by him. He can be 2000 ks away and still destroy a club.

The job at Melbourne offered him more of an overarching role, I believe we wanted him to be more of an Assistant Coach.

I can understand his decision then. Not the best use of his skill set. I still think he is an impressive individual and would have given him something but am moe relaxed now knowing it is only him as an assistant coach we are missing out on.

Close the book on this case I guess.

It grew out of proportion.

I got a bit hyped about him coming but did think of his history as a coach and thought ,well is he good for us?

We don't have to ponder that question anymore.

Richmond being smart and I like it!

We've added a bloke with proven ability and a friend of Hardwick's to boot which is very important I feel.

Neil Craig is a great guy and what we had to offer did not match what Neil wanted as far as more responsibility i.e. PAY. no problem well done RFC on having a plan.

I was ambivalent about Craig.

Heard this interview with him on 3aw last night and didn't think it was very impressive.

The plot thickens.

Bailey to Tigerland.

Announced during the Grand Final parade, day before Grannie so it slips through unnoticed? Realisation that it will go down like a concrete feather?

All for Hardwick hiring people he knows / respects but it is a bit of a bad look when you just hire mates as oppossed to interview people and look for quality staff.

He was part of Ports 2004 and Essendons 2000 flags.

Don't write the bloke off just yet.

How many times players are duds then come good at other clubs?

Richmond might be the perfect fit for Bailey.

Some of the strings attached to the AFL money was that we increase the number of staff in the football department and the back office. I think we were 3 short in the footy dept of the AFL minimum requirement.

Was speculation back at the start of August that we were interested in Bailey so how do you know we didn't interview him and others? How do you know he isn't a quality assistant?

ah, ok, my mistake then. Yeah, they could very well be in the same boat as us.

First news report was back in August.

Trade

Craig was never the guy we wanted bailey was our first choice we just had to wait until hes contract had totaly expired

Have heard very good things about Bailey as an assistant. Would be very happy with this move. :clap

Him or Eade and i would be pleased. Probably prefer Eade as he is a fantastic game day coach but struggles with the one on one. Something Dimma is very good with.
