Neil Craig

Sounds like we pulled out after getting Ross Smith.

Maybe WE played the game of poker to lure off others from Rossy Smith.

Anyway rather have Smith than Craig.

He fits us like a glove.

Defensive coach.

And everyone was happy. ;D

goes to show the the demons have more upside than the tigers!!!
:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

A good result he is overated. A dinosaur who has the personality of a cardboard cutout! lets get peopke with youthful energy and are relevant not washed up has beens who have been fired from their last gig. Melb are an absolute joke. They keep Connelly because they don't have gonads to sack him they get rawlings who is useless and now they get craig. not to mention they resign carl morton lol lolo

I was a bit 50/50 on him anyway.

WE need a bloke that's fired up like Ross Smith.

I'm happy,Dees are happy.

A win/win for both clubs.

The bloke we got knows what it takes to win flags.

Neil Craig to be Demons new footy chief
Scott Gullan and Jay Clark From: Herald Sun September 29, 2011 1:26PM

MELBOURNE has won the race to secure the services of former Adelaide coach Neil Craig.

The Dees are poised to announce Craig has signed on to a post as head of the club's football department.

He will act as a mentor to new coach Mark Neeld.

Melbourne beat several teams wooing the sacked Crows coach, headed by Carlton and Brisbane.

Craig split with Adelaide this year after seven and a half seasons with the Crows.

MORE TO COME

Id be more than happy to not see this bloke at Punt Road TBH, is his record that good? If he was, he'd still be sitting in the senior coaches office at the crows.

Agree. We don't need him. Ross Smith is a good inclusion.

Craig as Football Director is a poor fit. We had the perfect role for him as Head of Sports Science.

yay... ;D :clap
Demons to be the most boring team in the comp...besides freo...

Good luck to him. If he wants to be head of the footy dept then that isn't a role we had for him.

"MELBOURNE Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Craig to the position of Director Of Sports Performance."

Looks like the sort of role we wanted him for. Sports performance. They also have Misson, we have Hornsby.

Very good get by the Dees. Will be ideal for that club.

Funny how Craigs stocks automatically fall because he didnt choose us.

Ya gotta laugh. There are not too many with his skill set dabbling around footy clubs are there?

The Demons seem to have been very decisive of late. This is a good win for them.

I wonder if there is more to the Stephen Icke fiasco than meets the eye? Maybe he got wind that Carlton were offering his job to Craig and he didn't take it well? So now they have nada, neither Icke nor the man with the two first names. One can only hope that these things come to pass over those who deserve them!

Yep was thinking the same thing.

Seems like Melbourne, with Misson and Craig, have two good gets there.

No doubt that it's a good appointment for Melbourne, wanted Craig at Richmond. Would like to see us appoint someone else in our fitness area.

Yep. Guys like Misson and now Craig are where the real improvement can come from. Assistant coaches are overrated.

Maybe we activated plan B (Ross Smtih) after it became clear that Plan A (Craig) was not interested.

Always felt that we were only after Craig because he was available, didn't feel planned at all. This might be a good race to lose.
