I'm worried about indications Arnott hasn't signed up
I hope he has because he's in my 22

Thought he was already contracted.

Shame to drop him, like to see him have another crack.

I too thought he was signed...wouldn't be too concerned the club wants him. If they didn't want him they wouldn't have put his post season interview up on the club website.

there's every chance our contract list is wrong. i just did a search and couldn't find anything. does anyone know.

I'm probably wrong but he's the one name on the uncontracted list that I really REALLY want us to retain
DDT You are right there. Arnot has something we have missed these last few years. a bit of mongrel about him and hard as nails. We would be foolish to move him on.

Other then his hardness at the man, I don't see a lot of AFL qualities, hope he has a big tank as I think he will need it to be any chance

In his few AFL games he has shown us there is something worth having in him. Given some good coaching he could go on to be a good reliable mid or even small forward. He has the raw talent and he isn't scared of a hard hit unlike one or two of the current 22. Got to be a keeper for next year at least

I like something about Matthew Arnot that reminds me of Matthew Rogers. (I disagree with mainstream opinion on Rogers.)

As a young player, aside from kicking the goal, Rogers had one key strength that Arnot has shown. That's an occasional ability to be the blur.

Just as the ball is moved hurriedly by an opponent a Richmond blur cleans him up. You slow down the replay. You frame-by-frame. You have to press on or rewind further to identify the Richmond player. As a young player Rogers was that blur.

Arnot did it twice last Escort Cup. The blur. More of that.
