The vfl side is there to build talent, not to give blokes $$$

We want a winning VFL team. Instead of paying blokes from the VAFA, let's pay blokes from the VFL.

This is true and it is a delicate balance.
We want a certain number of good experienced VFL players who might be good mentors to our young AFL listed players - but don't want too many espcially in positions that would deny our own kids the chance to perform.
Also as a fan I want to win games - or at least be competitive in games. But I don't want to see that at the expense of seeing our kids play.

Maybe we can. i wouldn't do it for Arnot though because he is a very average footballer even at a vfl level.
