Marsh 1 v Collingwood

Dimma out, rebuild starts from now. Play the kids.

Another cheap flag would just be papering over the cracks.

Buckley is desperate AF.

Treloar, Adams, De Goey all running through the middle in Q4 while we pissfarted around with kids.

So much so that treloar pings.

Shows where the psychology is at. We’ve put a spell on the comp.

From what i saw, Baker, Vlastuin Broad, Dave and Grimes played well, and were our best andPickett was hard at it and Short got a lot of it, Prestia was in and out and Stack warmed into it.

We got beaten in the middle and our forward line was beaten, and then when we had momentum we kicked away the chance at getting right on top of them and as they say bad kicking is bad footy.

First hit out and they probably lost Treloar for their season opener and possibly their round 2 hit out against us.

We missed Dusty, Cotch, Jack, Tommy and Sheds along with Nank, Basha and Graham.

They had numerous keys out also in Pendles, Sidearse, Grundy, Stephenson, Moore, Howe and Langdon from their best side.

Yep we had RCD, Dow, Pickett in the middle at one stage in the last. 1 game between them. It wasn't about winning for us.

I’d rather be in our position than the Pies. Got a look at some up and comers and no injuries. I liked the look of Aarts. Some nice touches; showed his footy smarts.

Nothing to get excited or despondant about its Praccie Match One.

Id rather have lost today and gone home with a fit group of players.

Maggies won the game but couldve lost one of their prime midfielders for their season opener.

Didn't watch the match but going by this thread we're screwed. Club seems to have rested on it's laurels rather than recruit some gun players. Our kids are useless on their own. Losing Blake will seriously hurt us.

By all accounts this years draft is a very good one so we should seriously consider doing what's best for the clubs future rather than limp into a top 4 finish and luckily draw an interstate club for our 2020 Premiership. It'll mean nothing.
Didn't you read the weather report for Wanga? The sky was falling.

Good summation Baron.

Pretty average first up effort. Looked rusty and none of the kids really pushed their case. Made the selection meetings easier. The midfield was well beaten and CCJ/Chol looked a mile off it up front. RCD was nowhere near it. It's a long season though only need to win enough games pre bye to stay in the mix for top four.

This year's draft reportedly has a high number of Academy type kids and Father and sons. Potentially more than half the top 20 will attract bids. Pick 18 could end up being pick 29

Wouldn’t worry too much.
Hawthorn during their dynasty always started the season slow and built it up to the business end of the season and went on to win a few premiership.

Experts would write them off earlier too.
We’ll be building our season slowly just like 2019

A certain numpty here looks like he’s been hanging out for a Richmond loss since June last year...

Should've seen Figgy before the game on Friday scrambling around the crowd looking for signatures and selfies.

Leaving the work building, I had to zig zag the crowd and purposefully bumped into him a bit (he's my height which I was surprised). Seriously thinks he's the best.

Spot on assessment there Baron!
We field a young and inexperienced side against a strong scum outfit going at full pelt.
Perspective and reality!

Boys just busy scraping the summer rust off.
Bunch of kids through the mid field trying to find their feet.
Both key forwards out n *smile* delivery from the mid left the forwards struggling.
We were right in the game until the last ten or twelve minutes, so it was an honest first hit out.
Still four weeks till round one, no premiership points available so no real need to bust anything until the Carlscum game.
Highlight of the game, obviously Trelol's desperate kamikaze dive to take a mark n give the hammy a good tweak.

Oh, and the maggots can kiss my furry butt crack. There's only one set of rules and they should be applied equally to both sides.

Interesting comparing this match to the first pre season 2018 game where we came out looking to prove the grand final win wasn’t a fluke and pants the bombers by fifteen goals.

Think we have oodles of perspective now as to when things do and don’t matter.
