Comprehension son. Listen to your teacher.
Unless you were criticizing Tux for allegedly being my 'lover boy'. I'm not sure if he's gay or not.

Perhaps when Griff actually figures out how to impose himself on a contest ( hopefully real soon ), he'd make an excellent third tall forward or perhaps even key forward or defender. The issue with Luke is simple. He's not in the side to be the silky smooth skilled key tall forward, that's Jaaack n Swish's job description.tiger12 said:SURELY, the time has come for Griffiths to move to the forward line with Vickery as the other talls assisting Jack.

I went through the end of the Wallace years, us being compared to Fitzroy and now we are finally looking like we will claw our way out. I say this is funny because back in 2007 you could complain about nearly every player, with some bright lights (Chimp, Jack, Richo). Now we are fast running out of players or administrators to bag.
I understand and agree with the issues related to our forward line but I see the plan. I see why we kick long to the pockets. That is also the reason why we need Luke. He will contest, he will compete, he will punish that opposition player who stands infront of him and will generally cause a nil all draw.
We will never have a perfect team. It simply does not exist. But it is funny because we are fast running out of people to complain about. To be honest I enjoy not complaining. But some of us become fixated on that one negative ie: Luke McGuane
No Mcguane is not Carey, Dunstall, Lockett or Buddy. He is not Steve Johnson. He is not even that over paid Hack Tippett! But he will never die wondering. And I love that about him. So clap and cheer when he succeeds and do what I do when he fails. Laugh with you're mate and take a big drink of the amber liquid.

tigersnake said:good post. spot on. Not so long ago we had 15 over 25 yo hacks in our best 22. I reckon if you took a straw poll of PRE, putting aside who agrees and who doesn't, we now have 3 or 4 in the best 25.

one or 2 were traded to the city of churches for valuable draft picks.

GoodOne said:Geez if Muscles is on of our best in the air we may as well give up. Yes he was 2nd at the Tigers for contested marks in 2012. But he was basically our 2nd key forward in 2012 so you'd expect his contested marks to be up there on the Tiger list. Yet in the competition he was only 36th. That means every other team had on average 2 players who took more contested marks than Luke per game. In 2011 He was 13th for average contested marks on the Tiger list and in 2010 he was 20th. Luke is a tryer, he gives his all, but let's be honest, he is not one of our best at anything, he's a fringe player who can thank his lukcy stars he was recruited by the Tigers because there is no way he'd have lasted 8 seasons anywhere else except maybe Melbourne.

if Luke was 36th for contested marks last year he was fairly high up the order for a player who only played 9 games for the yearGoodOne said:Geez if Muscles is on of our best in the air we may as well give up.
