Luke McGuane

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

LoL@the McGuane haters trying to justify their opinions on Mcguane on the basis of the last 2 weeks.Hellooooooooooooooooo we played 2 sides who lack an extra KPF and who rely more on their flankers and mids to get a winning score.

I didn't need the last 2 weeks to confirm anything. I've known for years he's not good enough.

McGuane's ability to compete and spoil is not the major issue, it's his lack of composure. It's his poor decision making under pressure.
Right now there's an absence of panic. An absence of fear. You got it, an absence of McGuane.

And Mcguane would have had him worried you think? With what, his towering height? His strength? Guarding goliath is not real on the requirements for a modern day defender. If it was, the zoo would be a more popular recruiting ground.

On FC tonight they played a clip of our defence in action against Freo and noted how COMPOSED it looked and how the young guys were doing so well. How well Moore and Thursfield were doing. Have never heard our defense be described as COMPOSED in the media.

In McGuane's defence, he holds his own pretty well against forwards much taller than him, especially resting ruckmen

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

If this is a player that we hope to have in the future in our backline then we will always be copping beltings from top sides.

Is the king of the sideways chip and the handball to a teammate under the pump.

If we can get anything from the Gold Coast I would take it.

Or two metre maids and a four day pass to Movieworld.

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

he is not up t it, back up at most. I shiver when he goes near it. Play our number national draft pick who we delisted then rookied. Surely the young fella gourdis has more upside

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

The McGuane lovers claimed that he must be good to be picked as the CHB in a winning team, now that his return has coincided with our last 2 losses does that mean ........

yep, those 2 goals kicked on him out of the 34 kicked against have really hurt.

funny how every time we lose mcguane is targeted regardless of how he actually plays.

Always helps to read what's written. I wasn't having a go was just asking about the argument that was put up some weeks ago.

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

Probably rathers Astbury up back with his composure and skill so Luke has to find a new role. I don't blame him.

Still safe for the time being, the list hasn't become that strong yet that you can afford to kick him out Barnzy 8)
