Anyways, here's my point: I'd rather Ray Hall than Muscles. Yeah, I know. That was so obvious.

Man, some of us must have short memories or going senile. Ray Hall better than McGuane? I am still scratching my head over how Hall actually got near an AFL club, let alone on an AFL list.

BTW, if whoever was on Kennedy it's a bit of a strecth to say he beat him - Kennedy had 17 disposals, 9 marks (3 contetsed) 2 goals and 4 goal assists. Not the worst day out in a side that was badly beaten.

Kennedy had a great game. Was their most influential player by far, and being directly involved in 6 of their 11 goals, you have to give credit where its due. Kennedy has been in very good form this year, so no embarrassmnet to have been defeated playing on him.

Surley anybody looking at the RFC v WC game on Sunday 13 of June would have said the kid in number 16 for Richmond played a good solid game, that is unless they have a preconcieved opinion of the lad

McGuane got 3 votes in coaches award - 4th best on ground

Agreed was very good IMO on sunday - read the play well and was very good overhead both in marking and spoiling.

Well there you go. Thought he played well.
Was a vast improvement on his week previous.
Better in the air and by foot. Well done to him.

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

Fantastic first half by Lukey. Hope the ankle responds in the week off. Imagine adding a fit Foley and Moore to that team too.

I think McGuane is slowly starting to learn to play within his limitations. For mine, this is about all that was missing in his game to make him a very genuine KPD. Doesn't get a stack of goals kicked on him.

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

played ANOTHER great game tonight..geee i know he can *smile* up at times, but that might be due to lack of players upfeild making themselves available TO PASS TO..but he was great once again tonight..a very gutsy player, and A big part of our future.. i like the guy a lot.. i hope he is right to go against the swans..just how much more vulnerable did we look down back when he went off??

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

The ankle didn't look good the way it rolled
Hopefully he's ok in 14 days

Exactly my thinking arlo. Racked-up the tension considerably.

Exactly my thinking arlo. Racked-up the tension even more without him there

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

Been playing well from what I've seen of the highlights, hope his injury is not too severe and let's hope Moore is back next week

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

Interesting that McGuane has the 4th best disposal efficiency at the club, only Thursfield, Griffiths & Foley are ahead of him
He's also 11th in total disposals, 8th in clangers, 3rd in rebound 50s and 1st in 1%ers

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

i've been looking over video of our recent performances with particular focus on Luke. give this boy some leeway. i think he's more important than alot of you might think. as tough as I've ever seen.

I agree. Yeah he makes me crack it a couple of times a match with his disposal/decision making, but gee he makes up for it other times. Happy for an upgrade, but pleased with his performances thus far.

Once he went off with injury last Sat night, we suddenly looked a lot more vulnerable down back.
