Luke McGuane

Lets not get all misty-eyed over McGuane the forward.

He got games because Hardwick likes a defensively minded three tall setup and our KPF stocks have been perilous (for third talls) for a decade.

At the end of the day he is a shocking kick for goal and went missing against the better sides, as evidenced by his dropping in favour of Aaron Edwards.

Now that hampson is in and mcbean threatens, Luke was never gonna command anything like a substantial contract.

He's been a committed player and a great team man, but lets not pretend he got to 100 games on anything other than a knack for providing depth in areas sorely lacking over the past decade.

Some of what you say is correct but 20.10 this year would suggest that is just flat out wrong. He showed he was a far more reliable set shot than many of our more fancied players this season. Has a little more trouble with the snap though that is for sure. ;D

Trouble with Luke ToO is, like Richo in a way, is he missed some gimmee's which tend to be remembered.

and those that aren't whipping boys tend to have theirs forgotten. Overall that is a good record no matter how you slice it.

I believe 20 hit the point post.

But yeah, he had a better year thus year but over his career he was a 50/50 proposition 30m out. Just so damaging to momentum.

The facts don't support that theory. I recall him kicking many goals from i30m last season. Usually nailed them from that distance.

You are seriously saying that Luke mcguane is a good kick for goal?

Okay.

Okay.

He's not a shocking kick for goal.
The club didn't tell him to leave.

What else have you made up ?

IYO.

I think that is one of the more OTT statements I have ever read on here.
How do you kick 20 goals in the AFL by being the luckiest footballer ever drafted?
Just a ludicrous statement.

and play over 100 senior afl games.

Luke mcguane left because at the end of the day he was not a required player.

And, yes, he is a shocking kick for goal.

Shocking disposal in general.

And round we go. Like your positivity though. Thanks for playing.

No, he left because he wanted to return back to brisbane, where he is from. In fact he rejected two contracts RFC put to him this year.

And, yes, he is a shocking kick for goal.
Sadly the stats don't come close to supporting this assertion of yours

Shocking disposal in general.
Oh, is that another piece of fiction dressed as fact ?

And round we go. Like your positivity though. Thanks for playing.
Fair enough, you do seem more content to play with yourself.

This does create a problem though.

While I am generally the most positive supporter in my little area of the ground, I have long had my 'pets'.

Houlahan and Biddescombe, with their ability in one on ones...

Fiora, Tivendale and Pettifer for years.

More recently, Jacko and Lukey for their brain fades.

Now what? Jacko becomes a gun and Lukey is leaving!

What's a man supposed to do?

All's not lost - Richie is coming back!
