Guess you can put what ever spin you want on it but it sounds like he just wanted to go home to Brisbane more than anything.

And the club didn't stand in his way. Thus released.

How were they going to 'stand in his way' exactly? They made him 2 offers during the season didn't they?
Obviously wanted just to go home.

They made him an offer he could refuse.

Amazing the inability to accept simple facts when it comes to whipping boys.

The club put offers to him twice, he said no and walked.

Nahas and Tux would have taken anything they were offered, had the club decided there worth retaining.

...

Yep. Ultimately Luke's choice to turn down 2 contract offers and walk.

Was moving back home regardless of getting a contract with Brisbane or not.
Must be over living in Melbourne.

Good luck to him.

The Flying Pencil played footy like a box of chocolates , never know what you're gonna get .

Good luck Luke , no speckies on Ranceys head please.... ;D

Can you believe that??

Good riddance. Luckiest man alive.

I swear dude, I remember the exact day Miller decided to draft *smile* like it was yesterday. I was sitting about 3 seats behind him at Princes Park - Qld v NSW. Every time he got a possie, Miller started scribbling on his notepad. I just knew we were going to draft the goof with 3rd round pick.

10 years later...

That he managed as many games as he did is a sign of how bad things were at the club for a long time.

Lucky in that it was us that read his name out on draft day and not any other club.

Reckon he's earnt exponentially more with us than what we would have got had that not happened. Leysy means who else over the past decade could have *smile* in the top 10 highest paid players at the club.

By all reports is good to have around the team & all that, but in the respect of earning what he has from the game & setting himself up for life versus output he's the luckiest footballer leysy has seen. Not his fault & good luck to him getting dealt a royal flush.

Or unlucky in that we tried to turn him into a defender when by the end of his stint at RFC it was obvious he's a better forward despite not playing there for years.

But I still contend anyone that plays over 100games of AFL is far from "lucky"

Spot on, not our best but not our worst.

Good luck to him in the future after a solid career at the tiges. He earned his 100 games and his name on the locker
