Luke McGuane

Good move McGuane, for us to get better we cannot have these type of players on our list anymore.

If a player needs more than 4 years to improve at senior level then move on.

Ok player but you wouldn't want to take these players in finals game.

To hit and miss..

He has his playing limitations and must know that he is way down the pecking order in a 2014 Tigers team if they are going to be contenders for the flag.
He has given us sterling work as well as nightmares over the years and his decision to move on will give us room for someone who will fit better within the team.
I hope he finds the club for him to progress and wish him well.

McGone!!!!!!!

Obviously influenced by Leppa's move to Brisbane as coach.

McGone on Rance......foaming at the mouth...

He said he knocked back a contract mid season and again a couple of weeks ago.

I reckon Aaron Edwards owes him a beer, they were both fighting for the same position

McGun going to Brisbane will lift the average football skillset of both clubs

Good luck to McGuane.

Gave us great service when playing but probably knew the time was not far away.

All the best up in Queensland.

Agree , was a marvelous servant to the RFC, gave his all, and boy , you can't ask for more than that :clap

It's always sad to see a long term player go.

But if you think that we have Griffiths, Mcbean and Elton on the list who all play the same position then it's probably for the best that we part company.

He Won't be the worse player up there. He will be a "Shultz" for brissie. Always in there best 22

I am shock by the decision from Mcguane and Whitey to leave us... Both very worthy tigers
gonna miss ya lads!

Anyone know what the go is with Nahas? Will he get a second go?

Nahas won't be on the afl next year. Can't see any club gong for him.
He is slow for a small. Can't use his left foot and he has ne penetration in his kicks
Can't see many takers

I'm a fan of the best of Muscles. So I do not agree with the school of thought that says he gave his best and tried and bled.

In 2013 McGuane's role was nothing like that played by Aaron Edwards. Lace Out played full forward. His job was simple. He had to get first hands to the ball in the air when it was sent in. After that he had to mark it, win it or chase like a rabid dog.

I think the Flying Pencil (a brilliant aerialist) did not give enough in 2013. I disagree strongly with the consensus. All heart? Meh.

Luke McGuane may improve at another club. I hope he does, as a fan. But in 2013 McGun let the team down IMO.

When Dimma dropped him it was never for a week, as I noted at the time. He can improve on what he gave us in 2013 and I hope he does. Sendoff. :thumbsdown

Welcome to free agency. In a few years time, if not sooner, we will be very use to players moving between clubs to further / prolong their careers.

We are moving more towards the NRL model, like it or not. Players will be loyal to their teams while they are playing for them. Some will continue to be one club players, but others will move to get the best opportunity to play the game they love.

Although it is sad for supporters, it is what the players have wanted and is something I don't begrudge them. AFL is now more a 'business' and the 'employees' are just exercising their rights within that context.

definately sucks to see some players leave but so far we have also used FA to our advantage also - knights and more importantly Chaplin... Reckon we are miles in front still. So i don't think we can complain to much.....YET!!!

All the best Luke on the next phase on your career, hopefully you get to where you want and make the most of it. Your years of service are appreciated and your efforts congratulated.

Good luck..

Agreed. Sorry to see Luke and Matt go but with Free Agency it's a win some, lose some game.
