Pure guts and 100% effort 100% of the time.
We have more talented players on our list who I wish had your work ethic.

Thanks Luke and I wish you well wherever you finish up.

Could not have said it better!
Hope you do what Sarge did when he went to Port.... and prove all the knockers wrong.

Interesting that he was offered contracts and knocked them back.

Good luck to Muscles. Not the most talented Tiger ever but had a crack and played 100 games of footy in Yellow and Black.
I wish him well.

Seems pointless to get chapman now if we could receive 3 picks in the top 30 due to compo. We were in a similar position last year and took Vlaustuin, Mcintosh and Mcbean in the top 35.

A little sad to see Luke leave as he was one tough player. Maybe not the most skilled, but gave 100% for us every time he played.

I wish though that we had of tried to trade Luke to Brissy in exchange for one of their players wanting to return to Melbourne.

Oh well, thanks and good luck Luke!

Brisbane would be stupid to look at a trade, Luke is a free agent.

As many of said, short on ability never short on desire. played some good cameos in the last season and a half. Time for the McBean show to take over anyway.

Would getting Chapman affect the 'net loss of players' due to FA, because Chapman's already been delisted. Does he still count as a free agent?

My understanding (and I may be wrong) is that he not delisted until midnight on 31st october, he has just been told he will be delisted.

In that case he can move as a free agent.

The best way to do it if the club wanted someone like Chapman would be to do a trade with Geelong for a nominal pick.... Means it wont be a negative on our FA points.... Trade period begins on Monday...

A second rounder will put us in a very strong position, three picks in the top 30 gives FJ a golden opportunity to plug quite a few holes.

Do these picks have to activated this year? Most everyone is saying that next years draft is much deeper than this years? With so many players on one year contracts, most who probably won't be renewed, can we hold unto them until the pickings are better?

I understand they have to be used this year. It was only the compo picks for losing players to GWS or GC that could be saved and used within the next 5 years

Sorry to see him go but lets be honest, he did most of his best work in the 1st qtr of matches, was hardly sighted after 1/4 time but was a much better forward than his was as a backman, oh how I used to cringe when he had the ball in our back half, good luck to him and I hope he doesn't end his career in the NEAFL.
