He's kicked 14 goals this year top be our equal 2nd highest goal scorer for the YTD. Pretty good for a guy who's on a bottom wage I would thought.

:blah indeed.

Tooheys his key stats for the last month are -

8.35 possessions

0.5 contested marks

1.75 tackles

0.75 goals

All per match. Damning. Cmon mate, stop the indefensible. Whichever way you slice, dice, cut & polish he simply isnt good enough at AFL level. Your calls for 2 year contracts a few weeks ago were shortsighted.

At no other club would he have earnt the amount of money he has & stayed in the system this long.

Great guy maybe, but not an AFL level footballer. In any position.

And if Dimma keeps persisting with him & the other battlers his career will go down with them.

This has been happening for years.
Anyone remember a kid form Mt gambler, Nick daffy....

How does Daffy fit in Zips?

Are you using him as the example of what we should be doing - drafting and developing?

Wouldn't hurt to try on the Tiger Beanie n see how he fits. Let the kid play third tall, would need to keep Swish in the forward line along with Jaaack instead of releiving ruck as it would be a tad harsh expecting the Beanie to cope filling a key slot just yet.

Agree with this statement. The worrying thing about Dimma from where I sit is he appears to now be emotionally attached to some players, unlike when he 1st arrived. Playing blokes like McGuane because you "love his competitiveness" is not good enough. Play blokes who can win a game. McGuane is a proven dud. No amount of sugar coating is going to change that. Unless we upgrade on this type of player the wilderness is where we'll remain and Dimma will find himself sooner rather than later.

Spot on Brian.

If you want to keep playing these blokes, you'll be out the door with them.

Not good enough. If Griffiths, Astbury or Elton cant take the opportunity to displace McGuane, its time to draft the next batch of key forwards until we find one who can.

We continue to settle for blokes who give their all, when we need to upgrade on them, urgently.

If that means Griffiths plays the rest of the year deep forward, then so be it - at least it will give us a chance to make a informed call on his future at seasons end.

needs to be dropped and earn a re-call via Coburg.

It's just that simple, Harry. He isn't working hard enough by a long way. The Quiff is playing like he thinks he's a hair-do.

Form has slid steadily over the past month and his game against Esserden was awful. I reckon he's already on notice and I expect him to be dropped.

I think he got too caught up reading the papers about how good he is, and forgot to actually be good.

This bloke has never been up to it, and never will be, how he gets a game ahead of a developing forward, or even Edwards is beyond me, Dimma must judge these blokes on things other than ability to play football at the highest level.

Doubt it. Luke knows his place in life. What's more likely is the opposition coaches have spent a bit of effort working out how to make him less effective.

I think he tries hard, and he had a few good games at the start of the season, i even gave credit, lets face it, he is not the answer.

Luke is the answer ( but to a different question!)

Rotate McBean, Elton and Griffiths through the spot until we find someone who is above average and not a battler.

It's over.

Last weekend more than ever we were crying out for a Nick Reiwoldt type lead up half forward. Meanwhile McGuane was anchored to the square wrestling and generally getting in Reiwoldts way.

I refuse to believe Griff, Elton or Beany (would try the aforementioned first) couldn't perform that high forward role and give us something for the half backs to aim at.

Chip-chip across the half back only to eventually kick it to Nahas one out isn't going to beat an u12 side.

Muscles has been dropped. As a fan of his best I have shitcanned him for less than that this year.

First, Lovelace mainly plays #1 forward for Richmond. Full-forward in the old. He rarely plays #3 forward because his job has been to take the heat for Jack. We've been screaming for this for a while now. Muscles did a job. When the ball was lofted in it was his job to stand in front of the 300kg of enemy, take the heat and get first hands to the ball.

He made a fist of it.

Tyrone Vickery, at 22 or whatever, and coming off injury, was nowhere near ready to do this at the start of the season.

Tyrone did some good things at ground level last week and crucially flew hardcore for a mark in the first quarter. He was not timid or young or coming off injury. He was brave, honest and desperate.

Muscles was ok in the first quarter too. But after that he turned to *smile*.

Because we couldn't, under any cicumstances, bomb that footy to the hotspot or four Essendon super talls would raffle the uncontested mark Luke had to move up the park. To clear them and to contribute. He did neither. And when Lace-out pulled that plastic hardman routine on Carlisle Dimma must have been spewing that he subbed the wrong bloke off.

Our plan B, which is the disciplined and formed defence behind the ball with the pinpoint counter, is crucial to our success this season. Luke showed on Saturday night that there are others better atm to contribute to that.

Vickery, now ready to begin in the role, and Jack will now play #1 / #2 forward with A. Edwards to play mainly #3.

Muscles didn't just do his job. He got a chance to do it long term. Unless Vickery *smile* up royally McCarey's had his last chance at full forward.

I wish he'd proven the critics wrong. But he didn't. And the New Richmond moves on.

This is BS at the highest order!
How can Dimma drop Mr Natural himself.
He's one of our top goal kickers.

I demand a recount!
