Luke McGuane

For gods sake get rid of him and go and get Sylvia. And don't give me the "Sylvia is a *smile*".

Sylvia has poise, skill, good decision making and just an all round gun footballer when on and playing with decent players around him. We will never get anywhere with battlers like McGuane. Sylvia half forward instead of McGuane. You tell me who you prefer.

Last nights game would have suited knights - specially missed him in the last quarter.

We also really missed Tucks toughness around the ball and Conca's skill in an under.

McGuane struggles when the our mids are being beaten and the ball is coming in any which way - against the better teams in other words.

Yep,no argument from me there big one.

Tooheys unless you are a club driven agenda, give up. McGuane has been awful the last month and deserves to go.

Should never have got another contract.

You think it was an easy night for our forwards I take it Scoop?
How did Jack and Vickery go by point of comparison? :p

The midfield was absolutely smashed and the ball use appalling.
McGuane hasn't been great but gee whizz not many would have got a kick last night given the Bombers complete domination.
Aadwards would have been no better. Not when the ball is delivered at a leading players bootstraps or on their head.

Too late. He has one foot already in the door of Westpac Centre.

Forget last night, he has been awful the last month.

The gig is up, the AFL wold has figured him out. He shouldn't even have survived.

It's a black mark against the footy committee. And continuing it only makes the mistake bigger.

Rotate McBean, Elton and Griffiths through the spot until we find someone who is above average and not a battler.

It's over.

Agree - would like to see each of these get 3 to 4 games each playing forward deep pocket.

He's kicked 14 goals this year top be our equal 2nd highest goal scorer for the YTD. Pretty good for a guy who's on a bottom wage I would thought.

That's really good knackers and his last month has shown the well has dried up. As long you defend these types then don't complain about us not being a finals side.

And don't complain about the lack of depth coming through when you personally supported the drafting of recycled players. Can't have it both ways.

Agree Oldie, Lukes role is a sideshow. A depth player who has done his job. Young tall plays well in the seconds, gets a game, luke dropped, injury, luke back in, scraps away, and so it goes. He's a fringe player, a third tall fwd.

The question though, why play a fringe player in a position that should be given to one of our developing talls?

Clearly we are still a developing side. As Scoop says run Griffiths, Elton or McBean through his spot.
We need to find out who will make it and who won't.

Hopefully last night was a reality check for the coaching panel.

This time last year Miller was second...

Just not enough quality up forward.

Anyone remember a kid form Mt gambler, Nick daffy....

He's had a spell, been found out. Goes back to Coburg and awaits another chance. Good thing is he got 100 games should his progeny be a chance.
