Luke McGuane

Lovelace(out) had a bad day. Only kicked two and was petulant (undisciplined) again at times in a losing side.

But there is a bit of revisionism creeping into the thread IMO.

There are three blokes in the side who can go with Muscles in the air. Vickery (who won't), Jack who will vault him twice a game, and a fit Grimes with his future AA (please God) smarts.

If you kicked the ball to Muscles, and Chaplin or Rance a dozen times The Flying Pencil could be relied on to get first hand to the ball. (With no tunnelling eleven times*.) At 21yo or 27yo he would die jumping over these very intelligent statues.

If the game was played only in the air Harry taylor would not be able to draw a football. Aerial Olympian. Sorry about the ground game.

Muscles may be dumb at ground level but he destroys very good players in the air routinely. He gets mucho air and finds his feet afterwards. Yeah I know - that's when the trouble starts.

Football students would have noticed why Buckley played Heefy on our star. Luke is not strong when stationary. Lovelace is light.

* Here I am committing the sin I've just decried. Twelve times.

Amazing, we lose a game and the usual suspects come flying in pointing out the flaws in our squad players.

Held shaw well enough when you consider the gulf in class between them and was focused enough to make 3 pies defenders look silly.

Wasn't one of our best but he certainly didnt lower his colors.
Yep, as a MCguane critic myself there were plenty of others n front of him in the bagging queue.

Come flying in. Really? This threads been pretty measured post game from what leysy see's.

Think your getting a bit sensitive & looking for things that aren't there in your old age Baloo.

That's got to win the Pot Kettle Black post of the year award.

Amazing, we lose another game and the usual suspects go missing against the top teams.

Like Grigg and Knights?

Virtually the whole team went missing in the 3rd quarter.

The game was lost in the 3rd quarter when our mids got smashed and our defence was brittle. How a tall forward who kicked 2 goals out of the team's 11 and whose opponent was hardly damaging could be deemed a usual suspect who failed us is amazing. There were many others who let down the team structurally and game plan-wise yesterday not Mcguanne.

There, there. :rubhead

You obviously don't know leysy very well Baloo. 12,000 odd posts & ruffled or sensitive is not a trait. A bit of *smile* taking maybe. Getting through a million debates with Disco whilst remaining calm is testament to that. ;D

For all his faults, I figured 2 goals on average a game this season from Luke was a good reward.
Probably an upgrade on Miller.

That was before I saw the new forward set up and many opportunities Luke gets to kick those 2 goals.

Thinking maybe A. Edwards may be relied on for at least 2 and every now and then maybe a bagful.
