If this guy was any good he would be playing AFL games by now.

We seem to pump up players very early in their careers at Richmond only to end up all with the same type.

Good luck McBean and I really hope you make it. But not holding my breath.

Strange post. The kid is a stick, and 19. He isn't ready physically, and we are long on tall forwards. That doesn't make him either the savior nor a flop, but for a kid who has had his share of disruptions over the last 12 months he is doing well. I see no reason to be chastising fans for getting excited - what the $#%#$% else is there to be excited about?

We always do don't we?

In the presser Dimma mentioned Beano's in for consideration this week. He has 'put his hand up'.....so there's the pass mark to see him.

IMO, he'll be subbed after 15 minutes.

I'm starting to get sick of Dimma's strict criticism of Jack to be honest. He wants Jack to be too perfect on just about everything he does.

Its time. Just hope he doesnt put both hands up. Or wave the one he has up around at all.

I'll check the land subject to inundation map for areas at risk around port Phillip bay.

Bring him in Dimma, we know the bean counters want you to.

In all seriousness, could really set this home game at etihad alight.

Or if he does play (very unlikely) Dimma will make him sub and have him on the bench until there's only half a quarter left.

he can nail him to a *smile* cross if he wants.

It's ramadan. If McBean debits now does that mean he's actaully Mohammed and not Jesus ?

Which reminds me, has anyone tried to tie Houli's recent form with his fasting yet ?

Fast Track (Ettihad) - Play too big and we end up with what happened v Meb in NAB cup when we played the land of the giants forward line in the first half. With no pressing forward they will kill is if we go with a Mc B - Vickery - Jack forward line.

He could always do an Elton with him. Play him for a half, take him off because he's not giving much and then we don't ever see him again.

Wouldn't be surprised.

Given it's a Sunday game, I reckon this will be a tease. They'll name him in the team tonight but will be cut off when team is finalised tomorrow.

Perhaps they will tell him he is getting his first game this week at the end of the training session, making him kick a goal, put the video on the website, and then not play him...

They never told Miles he was playing his first game, they told him he was being elevated to the senior list.

Might as well considering Hampson's form was tied in with having a pregnant partner.

Yeah, and confirmed by the club as well.

Anyone who thinks having your dad die, and having a pregnant partner, is not going to affect your form is in dream world.

Hampson's had a massive year in his personal life. Footballers are people. What goes on at home definitely and inarguably affects how you play.

I don't know how Hampson would have gone otherwise, but these things do impact.

Same goes for Houli and fasting. Anybody who's ever been involved in any sort of athletic endeavour knows that diet impacts massively on performance. If you can't drink water during a football match, you are going to play worse.

Houli's been pretty average for the last month or so, and Saturday was one of the worst games I've seen him play for a while. So, whether he fasted or not, he probably wouldn't have played well, but you have to have your head in the sand to suggest that getting up before dawn to stuff yourself, and then not hydrating at all on game day, is not going to impact your physical performance.
