He created a few contests and laid a few tackles

Does not look like they have showed him where the weight room is at punt road though

Did more than Jack or Griff today creating contests up the ground. Laid more tackles than anyone else in the team other than Cotchin.

Intensity way up on previous weeks, just a shame he missed the goals. (But then, so did everyone else)

I agree. Reiwoldt has been bloody terrible lately.

I'll spew if they drop Bean. I reckon he did well today.

The goal-kicking of all our so-called forwards was disgraceful today; weak as the proverbial. Don't deserve their money. The failre to kick through the ball with any conviction was pathetic. Guys like Griffiths and Grigg failing to even make the distance from well within their range.

Just another facet of a pathetic game plan - timid kicking to go with the rest of the timidity.

According to Dimma, McBean is paid to kick goals. Vickery is paid to make a contest.

The classic double standard. I dont think Beanie is playing as well as he should ATM (particularly his goal kicking) be BUT he is doing what the coach asks. Second in team tackles and equal third in 1 % ers (in the least TOG except the injured Grimes)

I really really don't like Hardwick deliberately not giving the kid a fair go. It appears he was forced into the trial and he really doesn't want to be proved wrong.

Just read the VFL Twitter feed. Vickery two ice goals in the last to get them over the line. Meanwhile Hardwick gives it to McBean for not kicking his goals.

I expect to see Vickery in McBean out next week. It is a comedy show down there.

I hope they stick with him for the rest of the season, but it's really looking more and more like he's a good VFL player who can't really do the job in the next level up.

Should play the rest of the season and the next two.

But he won't because we have duds running the football department.

Didn't see the whole game, but from what I saw I though McBean did some good things.....didn't quite nail his shots and just missed a few grabs, but what i like about him is that even if he doesn't take the mark he usually stays involved somehow in the contest, unlike Vickery....Gets a hand in there, scrags an opponent ....something. He's got nous.....when (if?) he gets more used to the standard he's going to be very handy. Hopefully not for some other team.

I agree. Thought he was fine today. Game 5, still adjusting. I think he will get better with confidence.

Was ok, but seriously lacks confidence. Needs big pre-season in gym. Got buffeted out of a few contests far too easily.

I just think they'll drop him and that will be it, reckon Vickery will come back in. I'd keep playin him and keep TV in the VFL, his allready gone and other then injury his values not going to change.

Tigertim you know that's what will occur.

Thought he looked better. Should have had 2 goals.

Tackled. Got to contests. Competed. Got hands to a lot of contests but couldn't hold onto them. More than Vickery does!

Got to give him more time but the other thing is that this game style played even Royce would struggle with.

my boy is doing ok. but he's gotta kick those sodas. ditto griff.
Bloody sad isn't it Baron?
Two exciting big young key forwards n both of them struggle to take a mark or kick a goal.
Poor Jaaack has to try n play midfield, CHF n FF all by himself, he's certainly not getting much help from Griff, Beanie or bloody Vickery either.

Done a few tidy things again the Beanster, might as well keep him in the side for a few more games, small improvements every game so far.

It's not saying much for Liam when discussion compares him to Ty rather than his own performances.
