Still has kicked 20 for the year.

Above or equal to the likes of Ben Brown, Shane Kersten, Drew Petrie, Joe Daniher etc etc etc

Im not picking a fight here, just saying that his output over the year has been reasonable

For someone who watches a hell of a lot of footy you are still failing to grasp who is actually pulling their weight for the team.

Look further than goals and don't ball watch when at games is leysy's tip.

a.k.a If you dont agree with LD you must be wrong, there is no other alternative.

There is a difference between pulling their weight and getting scores on the board. He's way under performing, but if you looks at his goal scoring stats then he looks a lot better.

Output reasonable was Taz's take.

Seriously Baloo - He has been a liability. Anyone can get a few Joe to Goose's.

58 minutes game time yesterday. And we looked far more dangerous in those minutes he was getting splinters.

:hihi Can't see Baloo typing that, a touch of Fonzie and the word wrong.

Yeah Baloo's funny. He wanted TV dumped and now has an issue when leysy has the same viewpoint lol.

It's footy season, we all have our roles to play here.

Some VFL footage of both players:

Just delist him so he can play AFL.

Don't worry. I'm sure the next draft we'll pick up another could of been champion and have a whole new thread dedicated to them.

There are a few posters with selective memories.

Last year when Vickery was dropped did he stand up and demand a spot in the seniors?

No his performances were lacklustre and Hardwick blinked and gave him his spot back.

So why is there a different standard for McBean.

By the way was his performance yesterday so bad given he played a bit of time in the ruck?

And was it any worse than Vickery last year?

How much was he in the ruck? Only 1 hitout. Very low stats look disappointing.

Ok, I forced myself to watch the VFL match against Collingwood and basically I saw the continued misuse of McBean.

He looks like he hasn't put on much muscle at all since we drafted him, but instead of accepting that he is not going to be a power KPP we try to treat him like that as being the major marking target early in games, and when that inevitably fails because he simply gets bodied out of the contests we then do things like throw him into the ruck against opponents 20KG heavier than him and then he busts a gut trying to compete and is burnt out well before 3/4 time.

When he does get near the footy you see the smart tap-ons, handballs etc. that show that he has footy smarts a level higher than most of the others in the VFL side (and a lot of our current AFL side) but instead of finding a way to capitalise on someone who can play good footy we have the mindset that he must play the "Big man" role and we are basically wasting him.

Get him in the seniors, give him a role that doesn't pretend that he is going to out-muscle big opponents and let's see if he can actually contribute at that level or trade him to a club that has more brains than we do.

DC, you and many others on this forum think likewise. He would do no worse than what SoV has produced this
season.
