Liam McBean

Even considering we're playing a VFL side, it would be good to give Beano a test run in the 1sts, but these coaches see different things. I just can't work out what Beano's KPIs actually are compared to others like Vickery.

We're going nowhere but round in circles and this trend will continue next season.

I don't think the selection committee believes that Liam can adequately fill the key forward/ruck position and Vickery plays in.
Have said it for a while that he won't survive unless he develops into these roles but as it stands he's competing with mid sized forwards.
Im not sure I believe TV can either.

Vickery hardly plays in the rucks as it is, and on the rare occasions he does he is ineffectual. Does not deserve to retain his spot after the recent performances he has put up.

suggest people get along to PRO Saturday arvo & see for themselves why Liam isnt getting a game
deservedly or not

Can't do that unfortunately taz. Hope he has a blinder. I look forward to some reports on the game.

. seeing that "the rfc knows best" is your usual stance to everything you can ignore the question.

Translation - "your questions are too hard so I'll just throw up an ad hominem attack".

I see you did have a go at nominating an alternative non-drone side in the Dimma thread - looks a lot like Dimma's current sides once you take injuries etc into account as has been stated by others already.

Double standards indeed.

I see your comprehension skills aren't that flash either. That was a rd1 side. Would be considerably different at 3-6 and the season shot. List transition would kick in at this point of the season, something you and hardwick struggle with.

This. Getting a first hand look at what Liam is delivering this year tapers any crying for his inclusion.

I saw him play a quiet game recently.

Delivery into F50 was absolutely woeful.

Have had a first hand look a couple of times this year and whatever he brings to the table cannot be any worse than Vickery. For the opportunities he gets in what has been a rather poor team this year, McBean does quite well. Can that translate to AFL, well looks like we'll never get to know.

Is rfc knows best not your usual stance? I stand to be corrected if not.

I dunno, go back and read my posts. If you can find ne saying that good luck to you

God Knows the club, players and coaches ain't perfect - but if someone puts a case forward that I disagree with, I'll say so. For example, a guy saying the VFL coach's player assessments are wrong even though he hasn't been to a VFL game all year.

For the record, some of the ZoneDrone critiques are fair - although you have to balance that out against playing the younger guys week in week out. I reckon Dimma and the match selection guys are getting the balance ok this year.

I'd disagree but there is some evidence to support your argument this year.

However you have been waffling on each year how Dimma plays the kids and Jinxy provided stats showing we are worst or second worst in areas of playing our draftees and retaining draftees during Hardwick's time. Are you willing to concede you were wrong on that point?

Point me to Jinxy's post and I'll do my best to prove myself right

I think I am having a matrix moment, I copied Jinx's post here for you Anty Jack but its gone!

Jinx started another thread today with exactly the same post. We don't need it being discussed on 2 threads so I merged it with the other one. I'm sure ant will find your post if he wants to. It's funny nearly every thread is turned into a McBean thread by some yet the McBean thread is used for more general discussion.
