Goal kicking obviouly isn't a real issue and this year's form is the most relevant in regards to senior seletion.

Interesting concept. Should tell Hardwick.

So goal kicking doesn't matter eh? No wonder Ty and Griff and Hammer keep getting a game.

Also explains Morris getting 10 rubbish games in a row as a forward,

I didnt say goal kicking doesn't matter. I don't think it is a najor area of concern with Liam. The reports indicate other things they want him to work on.

I'm not sure you answered it. I think the examples I gave make it pretty clear Liam has things the club want him to work on.

Just as I thought I answered the question, including why I didn't put much of anything into official reports and what I am interested in, and asked about, that was often not covered of by PRE reporters, with good reason.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

What is the good reason?

As the 'good reason' is something that is just for lil' ol' me, there is no real benefit in going over it again and forming another PRE infinite loop - can someone do up a mathematical equation for that, would be pretty cool I reckon! :)

Ok no good reason. That's good because I think the Prenders who have given reports give their honest assessments and genuinely want Liam to do well.

Here are a couple of good reports for you

Liam McBean

Turned in an impressive performance. Marked the ball well inside-50 and contributed four goals. His development is coming along nicely, and he will benefit from playing in the forward line alongside Edwards, Derickx and Elton,(LOL) allowing him, at times, to get the fourth tall defender.

and finally ttaaa daaa... Liam Mcbean - take a bow. Not a bad size front on but disappears when he turns sideways. However appears to have a strongish core which keeps him in contests and a nice leap and timing which gets his hands on the ball first. Has terrific forward smarts and lovely skills and agility for a big bloke. I am usually wary of these skinny talls, but Liam looks very very promising.

This selection could be super super inspired.

One from our esteemed Tim Clarke and one from a less esteemed poster.

The game in question is Beanie's first game.

Maybe you missed the point but K3 asked me a specific question about things Liam needed to work on. Interesti g that is from so long ago. Do you think he's a far better player a few years down the track.

He was good from the get go. He is better now but he would have been better still with 30- 40 senior games under his belt.

I can't understand why a positive review of Beanie from our VFL coach irks you so much?

Haha @ irks me. How do you figure that out. Great report but so long ago. Would love to be reading them on a consistent basis this season.

Good to hear, Positive reports from his coaches? Beanie might need to swap clubs for that to happen!

Dimma has just stated in his pre-game presser that Vickery will play this match, needs to regain form etc. Liam is probably very unlucky again that VFL had a bye so could not put any pressure on, but he just doesn't seem to impress our coach no matter what.

So do you know something about him leaving, or just idle speculation?

If he is just going to drop his bundle, then that is a little questionable.

But, personally, I am most aggravated that TV is forgiven for that display!

He has asked his manager to canvass all options.

There are two reasons a player gets dropped.
1. A reserves player warrants selection based on form, and/or
2. A senior player deserves to be dropped.

Now if you don't promote a worthy reserves player then it sends a bad message.
AND if you don't drop a poor performing senior player then it too sends a bad message.

Maybe Liam doesn't deserve to take Ty's place.
But based on form and perceived attitude, Ty doesn't deserve his senior spot. His on-going selection is sending out the message that we "accept mediocre efforts".

2c.

A few points on what you have commented
1. I think it is a very good reason
2. I have not said ANYTHING negative about any assessments, either from the club or from PREs
3. I have never said that anyone doesn't want Liam to do well

I was happy to let this drop but as I know how much you hate ppl putting 'words into other's mouths' I thought this was worth commenting on. There really is no point in trying to discuss anything on this, as it all just goes round and round with, from a few people, nothing but nit-picking at other's opinions.

I've never claimed you said those things have I? On the other hand you've posted, quite falsely, that I clearly don't think Liam has potential.

Nice try. Could have saved your time though with all the irrelelevant stuff you posted. You telling me there's no double standards at the selection table and in turn the reserves player performance reviews?

So if you are saying that Dimma leans on McRae to write BS player reviews to fool people into supporting the match committee's team selections then that's even more loony.

You've never been game to say you've even watched a VFL game this year which further suggests these bizarre accusations are a figment of your imagination.
