Wouldn't be surprised.

Has the build that even if he topped 100kg he would still look skinny.

Just had another look at last weeks highlights and he still looks as skinny as a rake. I guess on one hand, it's good news that he's put on weight without losing any agility, next step will be to put some muscle on.

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

the goal where he burst out of a congested pack and snapped on his right was quite impressive. alot of our mids couldn't do that.

It was like Dustin Martin had survived an encounter with a steamroller.

New nick: Flat Stanley.

This may sound odd bit whilst he looks skinny he has seemed to have put weight on over all his body. Has kept his mobility which is good however doesmt seem to have the aerobic fitness base.

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

fun talking about the bean but I'm with Bully.

If we're serious as a club Beano won't play till he has at least one more pre-season under the belt.

Hopefully the days of parading draft picks in their first season cos our depth was shizen are well and truly gone.

That's precisely why we shouldn't be rushing him, we constantly harp on about poor development with talls yet we're also so eager to promote a skinny teenager who's played four games of VFL. Give him some time, talls take longer, we all know that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but has McBean even been listed in the best players yet? If not, let him work for his jumper, potential is one thing but it's only half the battle. Gifting games serves very little purpose aside from encouraging complacency.

Understand what your saying BH, & apart from a little taste later this year leysy is happy to wait as well. But watching him a bit the past few weeks reckon he's closer than what you might think.

On gifting him games, he's already ahead of Elton & Griffiths if we're picking on current form. Looks a far better prospect than Todd & Ben, both on output & potential ILO. Really only leaves Edwards ahead of him in his role to come in on that criteria.

Was in the rooms at Box Hill and he has a funny body shape. Nothing at all along chest/shoulders but he actually has a bit of strength & size in the rump (dont worry leysy didnt look too closely ;D). Reckon thats where a fair bit of his weight comes from. Its the best place to have a bit of size in marking contests thats where your strength comes from. Also means when he does fill out across the top he should be in proportion rather than become top heavy.

Hmmm. You're detailed review says otherwise.

That's the perfect weight distribution for a key forward, pretty much the opposite of Rance, and we know how balanced he looks under the incoming ball.

Robert Walls type

I also recall the young Disco Roach playing on the wing in his early days.

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

Jon Patton has the biggest rear end I have ever seen, and Jack knows Ive seen some big'ns. I reckon If Plugger pulled on Jon Pattons shorts, he would look like Eddie Betts . No doubt its the engine room of power forwards and lovers.

Your attention to detail is remarkable Leysy, I'll be looking forward to some more progress reports on McBean's shapely rump. :hihi
