All I wanna do is a zoom a zoom zoom and a boom boom...........

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

I really hope he makes it

I have no confidence in Astbury Elton Derricx ( was he in a moon boot? )Griffiths or even Edwards.

They've all gone backwards

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

BUMp

Spotted the big fella on the way into the G today and can confirm there's some junk in the trunk. Hips, rather than bootay I'd say though. More Shakira than Sarina.

Ahem. As you were...

By what measure have Astbury and Elton gone backwards?

You're among friends here TJ, but I wouldn't be repeating that story to your mates at the pub.

In that they are no longer improving, and in that there are players younger than them going past them like McBean

Can't say Elton has gone backwards, but Astbury is certainly further back in the pecking order than he was in his first season.

Its OK. Leysy has extolled the virtue of the McBean chassis to his fraternity Linus.

After some initial eyebrow raising, once showing the closeup gallery of leysy's iphone pics everyone nodded in agreement.

Its a toosh that builds camaraderie. As a lovely toosh should.

Jack, there is no way in hell McBean-caught-stealin' will get a call up to seniors this year...he would be physically smashed.

Yep he's shown PLENTY for the burgers thus far but he will need to add at least 15 kegs to that praying mantis frame to even contemplate competing with the big boys.

Currently, if he turned sideways to you he would dissappear...ala "Dynamo".

DYNAMO McBEAN!

I'm taking your tip, Ocker, and the tips of the devout rump students.

Here's Clark's comments from http://www.richmondfc.com.au/news/2013-05-22/coburg-report-round-6 on the Bees game.

Liam McBean
Had a solid scoreboard involvement with two goals. Worked hard throughout, despite the limited opportunities he received as a forward. Continues to improve his contested work.

I like the "Worked hard throughout" best.

BTW Aaron Edwards reportedly "Displayed an admirable work ethic." That would be nice to read about McBean's next few weeks.

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

I saw a couple of quarters of that game. Limited opportunities for the forwards so not much to judge on, but one thing McBean has that Griff lacks is a bit of grunt.

On a couple of occasions the lug he was up against was cracking into him like a billy-goat and Beanie gave it back in equal measure. He wasn't intimidated. Beanie also missed a short pass and spewed an expletive in frustration – he cares.

He also missed a pretty simple set shot so he's not invincible.

gold!

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

Just spotted Beanie on Roar Vision with Jacko interviewing him in the kitchen learning how to cook with the other cubs. Jacko asked his weight 93 kegs and what he was when he came to Tigerland 87 kegs. Goal is 100 kegs. Jacko reckons a 100 kegs / 200 cm Beanie running around at CHF!

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

Cant wait until this kid puts on weight and makes his senior debut. Miles ahead of every other young Tiger tall (Griffiths, Elton, Vickery, Astbury etc) if you compare them at the same age.

Same here. The comparison with Vickery could be interesting from next season.
