Think you just did Tooheys. ;D

Not at all. I was very pleased to see him kick a bunch of goals again in the VFL again this year once he'd regained some conditioning from that injury.
I do wonder where he fits in though. He's a very different player. I can't think of too many 200cms players who've made it as small forwards.
Needs to show he can take contested marks.

Crucified by the coaching staff for thirty pieces of silver?

Exactly.

How was 2014 disappointing?

He kicked 37 goals in 14 games in 2013 and 37 in 15 games in 2014 at VFL level, all the while being crucified by the coaches who want to turn him into a tagger or decoy forward and recovering from two injuries.

Should have played against Carlton in round 20 in 2013.

If he had we would have finished 4th that year cos he would have flooged Bootsma, Beanie wouldn't have hurt his ankle the next day and we might have actually gone closer to first than eighth the last two finals campaigns, and Beanie would be a household name.

Are we still waiting for this bloke's first bag of ten in a Grand Final against a heavily drugged and illegally overpaid Carlton?

I'm beginning to think he is just a pretty arse.

Personally think he is fighting for a spot with Vickery.
I'd be hoping for 5 senior games and 8 goals.

He should fight with him on the ground, Oldster, because apparently Vickery can fight off it. ;D

Yeah I'm a Beano sceptic myself Dyer'ere. No disrespect to the lad but I'll wait til he shows some form in the seniors before I start doing cartwheels.

When he does walk on water, feed the masses and heal the sick then you can all say "I told you so".

I am waiting for Beanie (Godot?) because of the likely symbiosis with Jack.

To have a second super smart tall (small?) who can do the undoable working in tandem with Jack must make us more dangerous and unpredictable.

Its the coaches who need to work out how this will work, not Beanie!

Will be Hardwick's fault if he doesn't that's certain. :hihi

Beanie is not a small or a tall, he's a medium. A 202cm Jack Gunston. Gunston doesn't take contested marks, he runs, works his man over, lurks, darts into holes, catches everything his mates spear onto his chest, and never misses the big sticks.

Beanie can do that. He will do it.

It is the prototype, but Liam will need to get a hell of a lot fitter to achieve it. The club knows this as well.

I think you are referring to the evil clique of coaches and selectors who place impossible barriers in the Beano's path out of pure malice, stupidity and wilful ignorance.

Not to mention that malingerer Grigg taking up a spot in the 22.

We can have both. Hawks have Gunston and Breust.

And that's the two types we lack. Breust is a might fine footballer, maybe still the most underrated footballer getting around.

If Lids can kick 75% of what Breust does will getting 20-25 touches, he will of have had a remarkable year.

Going to do some research on what I think Lids can produce. The 40+ goal kickers over the years haven't been huge possessions winners.

I think Lids is the one who's going to be that medium goal kicker.

Just need to get him to kick straight.
For an "elite" kick he doesn't nail enough shots on goal.
