Jay Schulz [Merged]

Re: Jay Schulz

Agreed. I can't believe they have Brad Symes fit and raring to go and Rodan gets a game in front of him.

Re: Jay Schulz

Schulz would be extremely unlucky to be dropped this week, but I bet a little birdie has told him that with Richo out he now needs to stand up as the go to forward or he could be in trouble.

There are no more excuses. This is his opportunity and it is now up to him to take it by the scruff of the neck.

Re: Jay Schulz

I'd like to see Schulz working as hard as Richo. Even if he didn't kick a huge bag, just for him to get to heaps of contests and present wherever possible. I know it sounds simple, but sometimes Jay just doesn't do and it frustrates the bejeezus out of me.

Just say no to Kingsley.

Give Jay a crack at FF I say. ;D

ToO this is the week, Jay in the forward line with no Richo, whats your call, he seems to average 6 in all the other games when we have structured up like this!!!

Will depend on the midfield obviously but I think he's a good chance to kick a dozen this week.

Re: Jay Schulz

if jay gets dropped he wont be unlucky, it will be justified. he has played lazy footy for weeks now, and as a kpp thats not on.

funny when krak has a "lazy" game everyone calls for his head and he is a small fwd.

Re: Jay Schulz

Guys maybe a little hard on Jay. I know he's been a long time coming but he's only 22. Big Blokes take some time. He has his best 10 years ahead of him. Hopefully.

Height: 193

Weight: 92

DOB: 18/04/1985

Bill, in fairness to Schulz if Hughes, Kingsley or Reiwoldt play up forward then that is not quite the structure Schulz is after so he will be excused if he doesn't kick a bag.

Fancy a gentlemans' wager on it being closer to 6 than 12?

Count me in. I'll say closer to 18. One hundred guineas? (No play- no bet)

Re: Jay Schulz

*smile* will be lucky if he kicks 3 and even luckyer if he is at tigerland next year, look for a trade home for a ruckman?

TW is not a big fan of *smile* and does not think he is up to afl standard, unfortunately he is not quick enough to play as a FB and does not do enough up fwd..... he is another wigney, edwards, jurica, poyas - vfl champ but afl chump

Out of interest, how do you know this, and if the case why has he been playing him?

Re: Jay Schulz

I was hopeful Sarge would earn another week's reprieve but consistent with Hughes demotion, Terry's thrown the challenge to Schulz now by dropping him.
Up to Jay to prove TW wrong from here on in because it places his career in a cloud of uncertainty at present. Hopefully he can turn things around pretty quickly.

Disappointing.

Agree in a way, but it does create competition for spots and will teach the players to fight.

Same way as a lot of the "scoops" that have been posted in the past eight weeks - he made it up.

I'm glad PRE s popular and growing, but part of me yearns for the days when we were a bit smaller... ;)

Is it just me or is TW slowly getting rid of all DF's draft picks?

Yep, whatever Danny touched turned to lead............

Predictable more likely

just garbage, tango has pulled the rabit out of the hat! TW apparently said around 4 years ago the *smile* was not up to AFL standard. I sure thinks he's a chance, otherwise why play him.
