Loathe as I am to pump up the Steamer. ;D he could just have been the differnece between winning and losing last night.

Unfortunately Schulz gave us nothing.

Yep, No Steamer, no Tigers.

Hughes and JR will both play next week. Richo and Schulz out, it is pretty straight forward.

Why rush back Hughes... he's done nothing for a month!

Re: Jay Schulz

Hoping for the Klan and Jack to both play well for the Burgers today. It's on t.v. so will get a good look at them.
Might work for a double swap against the Bummers to replace Richo and Yowie.

One bad game with the game before he kicked 3.3. ONe bad game vs Schulz 4 bad years.

Geez jack, the bummers are perfect. They would only have to play on Michael and Fletcher and if we really strike it lucky, Kepler Bradley will be brought in to shore up the Bummer defence.

Mate, I don't reckon they're as weak as all that in defence (their midfield sucks). In the air you'd have to beat Michael, Fletcher, McPhee and Ryder. And Hille if he drops back. Steamee and Jack are too small for the packs ATM IMO.

May i suggest we dribble the ball into our fwd line

Re: Jay Schulz

schulz needs to find some form again at coburg, his confidence has been shot since the eagles game.

kingsley would surely come in for him this week if he gets amongst it today

What???? Didn't he kick 6 goals in his three games??? How many has Schulz kicked recently? In fact how many kicks has he got full stop?

Wouldn't do any harm to give him a run down back
This has been done before, despite his past injuries he has had many opportunities & has still only played 1 standout game which was against the Lions.Time to deliver Jay.

Has hardly played down back at senior level, two wiz fiz seasons in a row started down back an played well in both games (hawks an Pies) an got injured late in one game an shortly after in the other season an both times came back playing forward for Coburg an in to a Forward role at Richmond.

No doubt has to lift but with Richo out an our lack of quality talls would do no harm to keep in the 22 and try him in some new roles

What are you talking about Y&B?
According to some here Cleve is the next Matthew Lloyd. Never mind the fact that he failed to get a kick or a goal in his last game either..
..and what's Jack done? Oh that's right he's a superstar at the elite level already. :spin

I'll agree that Schulz had a poor game last night but some of this scapegoating and pumping up of unproven players is way OTT for effect. We must be running out of duds as it seems some are on the lookout for a new whipping boy.

With Richardson out I find it extremely unlikely Sarge will get dropped.
Hopefully he plays well because he does need a good game.

Re: Jay Schulz

Come off it TOO. Schulz hasn't had a touch for three weeks. At least Hughes kicked some goals against WCE and Geelong. You can't seriously claim Schulz's form was better than Hughes.

Schulz is now in his 5th season. It's about time he stepped up and performed and the excuses stopped. His career so far has been underwhelming at best. How long do we wait for players to perform at a level acceptable for AFL. Oh that's right; it's the RFC. Give him 200 games and then realise after his career that he was just a very ordinary footballer. And of course we never make the finals in that period. Seen it too many times.

Shape up or ship out Schulz.

Re: Jay Schulz

No doubt Jay needs to perform Ridley, however I'd hope there's room for both Hughes and Schulz up forward over the coming seasons.
In Richo's absence the next few weeks will tell us alot about where Jay's future at the RFC is headed.

Re: Jay Schulz

Schulz is another justin Plapp... flashed up on one or two occasions and then fizzled. He bags 5 goals at the burgers and then does zip for RFC.
Time for a trade, if we can get any takers
