At on stage in the match it was 19 marks inside 50 to none. Batch is probably replaced by Astbury in our best side but geez I wouldn't have liked to be a backman against Port.

Agree with all of that but also needs to get at least basic right foot skills & also provide offensive rebound. Getting fitter/more agile will help that as well.Batchelor Party said:I reckon he needs a summer working on his agility and sideways movement and he should try and learn to play on the small quick types. When he did play well, it was because he was prepared to leave his man to get to the contest, he's a decent, honest straight line player with good aggression and willingness to do the team things, I think he gets exposed when the ball moves really quickly laterally. Next year will be make or break.
At this stage they're being kept as possible trade bait I'd say. If there's no takers for either of them I think one will be delisted and one will be retained. Jake's 2014 season would have to give him the inside running on that spot. I'd like for Dea to succeed, but there is something missing when he plays. Jake worked on his deficiencies and tried to correct them, Dea appeared to tread water.CC TIGER said:Seeing that at this point we have kept Jake and Dea, reckon Jake has to become part of the midfield, played a lot as a wingman as a junior, far from confident he can make it there ,just believe with the others down back an hopefully added skill an speed there Jake must be reinvented...with no Jacko just maybe there's a role for Jake, more a natural footballer then Jacko so just maybe he could be our Crowley ;D
As strange as it is I reckon Jakes the much better footballer, however I reckon Dea could actually end up a better in the role Jake played this year, IMHO we need to upgrade on both, crucial position in the teamCarnTheTiges said:At this stage they're being kept as possible trade bait I'd say. I agree with you there CCT, but I don't think they'll be able to upgrade both this year. May have to do it over a season or two.CC TIGER said:As strange as it is I reckon Jakes the much better footballer, however I reckon Dea could actually end up a better in the role Jake played this year, IMHO we need to upgrade on both, crucial position in the team
