Apparently eats a bag of beef jerky on the way to games. Max explain less than svelte physique. Enjoy is attack on the ball and ball carrier
 
long raking drop punts to advantage, bit of mongrel, fairly safe overall, cool head... big improvement
 
His kicking impressed me. One of Batchelor or Grimes need to improve their kicking and become more damaging. We are one quality user short in the back half imo.
 
The penny has definitely dropped. A natural #4 back when he attacks with the ball and with run.

Close to his career best game tonight IMO.
 
I'm one who has always been unconvinced by Jake - but have no problem with his form since he's returned this season.
Again today he did his job and seems to have fitted in well with the whole back line.
Well done Jake - all credit to you.
Keep up the good work and really prove just how wrong I was.

Is that one of those skinny bags I am tempted by at the checkout of the bottle shop? Or does Jake B consume it by the show bag full?
 
always been a fan, but the dress code at this batchelor party needs to be less casual.
 
He's certainly changed this year. Played like a 100 gamer tonight, not a 50 gamer
 
It's players like jake and their sudden improvement that have not only made us win eight straight but got me feeling very optimistic about 2015
 
No one at the club relishes laying a shepherd more than Jake 'Sit 'Em On Their Arse' Batchelor. It's a priceless quality in a team game.

He plays with intent. It's a good thing.
 
Looked like an obvious delisting 10-12 weeks ago but great to see this bloke off the scrapheap.
Playing like the hard, no fuss 150 gamer he looked in first season
 
Going okay still. Doesn't stand out, but he's doing his job.

Thank god for his effort in the final 10 seconds. Saved us the match.
 
Probably saved his career over the last 2 months or so.

It would help our backline even more if either he or Grimes add a consistent rebounding element to their games.
 
What Jake is showing now is what we all saw in his first season and then he went walkabout.

Thank god he's back!!
