Jake Batchelor

That's the thing, a proper coach is going to be switched on enough to not risk his career by coaching us.

Geez, what has happened to this guy. Is it possible for a club to "undevelop" a player?

Last option try Jake as a run with hard nosed tagger, thou personally I think he will get lost in the Middle, IMHO he can't cut it across half back an definatly not deep

Wasn't he on Parker? Parker wasn't seen all night
If that's the case, good call. Still he needs to be more than a stopper.

That poofy little cute piece of Sh!t fluffy kick in the last was embarrassing.

That's why he's not an A grader!

Was okay. Still developing. Bright future IMO.
4 seasons, 42 AFL games and probably just as many VFL games.....but he's still developing?

Aah. Yes? Why not.
You may be right I spose. But his "development" at this rate will have him "fully developed" at 32. I think he may just be what he's shown. A battling moderate AFL player.

Always liked Jake Batchelor,

An adaptable defender, Duncan Kellaway-style, who plays equally well on either a medium or mobile-tall.

To me, it should be a contest between Batchelor and Grimes for that 3rd defensive tall spot.

Good defensive depth, playing whoever is in better form at the time.

Would make a good + 1 player in the defensive half.

His strength is reading the play.

Don't forget how good he was in his first year.

There's still some more upside to Jake.
