Jake Batchelor

He's typically punched above his weight and been in competition with Dea for the same spot. The recruitment of Chappy didn't help him either as it shifted the pecking order down the line.

He'd be sweating on hammy issues for Grimes and more bleeding from *smile*.

I posted this in the NAB Thread :

Batchelor had some good cameos against Melbourne but I want more.

If Grimes goes down, he needs to be ready.

Not convinced on Astbury yet either. Did some good things but he needs to get better.

Anyway, I'd like to see batch given every opportunity this pre season to impress at half forward

I reckon on a wing. He might not be the fastest but he takes a good grab and is usually a good kick
He couldn't do the "Grigg" roll, whatever that is...

.... salad roll .... sausage roll .... coffee sc roll???

Is Jake going to make it or what or is he just a back up defender or just another recruiting blunder?

I still rate him. Think he'll be a player in time. Whether at Richmond or not is another matter

I still kind of rate him. I think it's just down to the fact we can't fit him into the current backline.

Then should we be focusing the crosshairs on our recruiting? Just saying.

Fold the sheets back up Axle, his surname might be Jackson but i'm pretty sure he's white!

Under Jackson we have managed to climb from the bottom to a finals berth last year whilst being the singly most effected club by the compromised drafts. I think he's done splendidly well under the circumstances.
