Jake Batchelor

Is this massive spud still on the list? We all know dud wick is clueless but surely others there now will put a stop to this ongoing joke.

Jake's not a spud but he is a list clogger who's stagnated and if anything receded as a player.
Should not be on the list next season.

Should delist bAtch & replace him with a player with some height , Angus Litherland or even X Richards

He was ok in 2015 but he certainly went backwards this year

It would be a definite win if we got rid of Batchelor and replaced him in the rookie draft with Richards from Sydney

He needed shoulder surgery so there's a good reason his output was lower. That said, we've seen enough to know his ceiling and you don't exactly need a ladder to wipe it clean.

Said it before, get him to drop some weight and get him to do speed training. Would be better playing as a half forward or half back using his foot skills. I think he's an OK kick, he just makes bad decisions reasonably regularly (1-2 times a game). Needs to recognise his limitations and play within them.

I think we know his limitations and he probably should have been moved on. But if he isn't, I don't want to see him playing as a third tall. Just not good enough.

That's what he did last pre-season.

I feel sick at the thought of watching this complete spud attempting to emulate and failing every time an AFL footballer for another season.

Either has photos or the coach is blind. One of the two

i thought Jake was going to be ok - a bit of an old school tough guy. what happened?

His first season I thought we had a good reliable 150 gamer, imo each part of his game has deteriorated over the last couple of seasons. I see no point in retaining him , dosent hurt with the ball and isn't a great stopper as there's never a match up to suit .

Coached out of him I reckon. Never a great athlete, so they made him a slug. A 6' tall slug. Who plays on 6'5" athletes in elimination finals. Le sigh Dimma.

Batchelor started his career like a house on fire Corn Chips. His first season still remains his best!
The adulation that season for him was off the charts to go with his RSA.
Incredibly frustrating that it's gone absolutely nowhere since..5 seasons later.

He often looks ordinary but I reckon the backline often looks better when he is there. Has a win rate of 55% which is pretty solid when Hardwick is only 47%.
