Just a staggering decision. How has this bloke who has gone backwards the last 18 months worthy of a two year deal?

One with triggers on a bargain basement price. For everything Richardson got right it's this nonsense of giving out two year deals like confetti to any potato on the list that sets him back. Get a spine. If he has a two year deal on the table from someone else, let him go. Get a Dave Mirra for a year on minimum wages and see what you have. This is the very definition of a list clogging decision.

Hold fire Dear Scoops Se7en was just taking the p!ss, but sadly he might end up actually being right :-\

I'd delist them all. We keep these types on our list for too long. Time we were ruthless in our decision making and not settle for mediocrity.
and houli should go...a one dimensional b grader

If Batch was a delisting target I reckon we would have heard his name during the trade period.

Come on Punters, besides on here, where does it say this is real?

7 wouldnt say it if it wasnt true......

on Batchelor, he and Chaplin were part of a very good backline in 2015, but yet according to many neither are any good?
defensively he is good, but he is at least 5cm too short to play the role he is good at, a KPD. he beat most he played on in 15 but the risk was always there that he would get a match up he couldnt handle and that came in the final, against a forward who was taller, faster, bigger leap and in prime form.
he may stay on if we dont recruit any more tall backs, but really he should go.

Given our lack of defenders , he is at least depth until we draft/find other options. 1 year deal for mine

I think we might want to focus a little less on creating "depth" and focus more on getting good AFL players, not good VFL players.

Exactly!
Batchelor is a classic list clogger. 8 snr games last year for a soon to be 25 year old.
Lets try and unearth a player who might be able to take us to a level Batchelor hasn't been able to in his 6 years at RFC.

I could be wrong but I think Oct 31

Theres 3 delisting periods, including 1 in between the ND and the rookie draft.

I suspect we are trying to figure out how many we will take in the ND and also looking at the DFA's before we decide to cut more. I'd think we will be cutting 3 of the 4 that are out of contract and either go with a 38 or 39 main list.

Perfect scenario would be pick up Richards as a DFA (if Sydney cut him) take 3 picks in the ND (27,56 and 82) and upgrade Short, then take 2 in the RD with 1 maybe being Kirby. Would be happy that between pick 82 and our 1st in the RD that we take a ruck and Kirby.

Delist Moore, Lambert and Butler / Batchelor as the 3.

If it played out like that, Posh, then I would definitely settle for those outcomes (particularly if RFC were able to recruit Kirby).

Good grief I'd be getting rid of our worst list clogger since Fleming...Todd Elton
